Shadow Kanji will always use Power Charge followed up by Swift Strike. Around 75% of its HP he will start casting Forbidden Murmur (Inflicts poison on male characters). The trick here is to watch Kanji's HP, and use Defend with MC to avoid getting poisoned, But let Yosuke be Poisoned instead. 1 Character needs to take the effect or Kanji he will use ''Roar of Wrath'' (Inflicts rage on female characters) which means that you cannot control Chie and Yukiko anymore, and they will die in 1 hit duo the Rage effect. Once Kanji reaches below 50% HP he will start casting ''Fanatical Spark'' (Medium Electric damage to all enemies) Use Defend with Yosuke to Block his weaknes, and after that all his attacks will be random.
Get a Persona that has Resist Physical to reduce the damage from Kanji, and Fire Break to remove Fire Absorb from Tough Guy.
Start off with a Persona that has Auto-Tarukaja for damage boost.
Kill Nice Guy 1st cuz he spams Heat Riser on Kanji every turn, and he doesn´t absorb Elements.
Keep using Dekaja with Yosuke to remove Heat Riser from Kanji till Nice Guy is dead.
Chie Keeps spamming Rampage to hit Nice Guy, and Kanji, after Nice Guy is dead use Mabufu to hit Tough Guy and Kanji.
Same as Persona 3 Its been 4 years that I last played this game. Persona 4 is also a great game in the series that offers a ton of Game Play hours. Persona 4 is a lot easier tho compare to Persona 3 since u can control the characters here.
I actly wanted to play Persona 4 Golden, but there isnt a pspvita emulator out there thats not fake or contains a virus. Also here everything will be in better performance / widescreen then it was 4 years ago.

It's necessary to keep it than heal it so he won't cast another forbidden murmur or rage version to females
This guy held me up for like, 5 hours! On normal mode!

@Dracule Mihawk Maybe try to grind the party to level 25-30? I used to grind them to level 30 because this Boss is indeed hard.
Edit: Also, if you're grinding and often insufficient in SP, try to save it while grinding by battling enemies on lower floor and just use Attack (avoid using skill that cost SP except an enemies than null with Attack). P4 Vanilla usually often depend on Shuffle Time to help you fill the SP by getting Judgment Arcana upright and Death Arcana Upright.
It only took me 30-40 mins in normal mode with not much grinding in this dungeon ( I just went all the way up )
And fought him, I just died once because I didn't know I should guard when he charges
( They were at lvl 23 btw )

@@Vyro-g12 wait, you're supposed to guard?, and he charges?, i just kept dekunda him till i defeated the two assistants(started with the one that only attacks and then go for the one that buffs him with heat riser, i used Rakshaka(auto-tarukaja and gale slash), Shiisa(masukukaja and Zionga) and King Frost(Ice Boost and Bufula).
it's kinda sad that this boss got so much easier on Persona 4 golden, I liked how challenging he was for begginers.
also kanji shadow is literally harder than the *final boss
I lost to this guy like 4 times, mostly him one shotting me with Swift Strike
I died more in this battle than I did in the entire of the Persona 5 bosses =/

once your party all reach level 23 it's much easier
@@curtis701 isn't getting to level 23 a massive grind at this point
Especially with those damn mages also being able to kill you off with a lame magic spam

Shadow Kanji may be camp but he will kick your ass
When you aren't prepared, this fight is difficult, but when you are, it is really boring

*Kanji punches his shadow*
Me: Well, that answers HIS question - still, an experience that won't be forgotten

King frost: auto tarukaja, bufula, ice boost on nice guy
Every knock switch to Oni with Cruel Attack. Max damage
Sati with Agilao on tough guy. On knock switch to oni for cruel attack
For shadow kanji. Power charge oni and hysterical slap/cruel atk/ fatal end
Your team should support and guard. Focus on hitting weakness first. Sukukaja, tarukaja, rebellion, media.
Have a lot of anti poison or amrita sodas
You can create power charge oni with high level rakshasha, ose, and king frost. So i recommend lv31 for this fight
Take advantage of SKILL upgrade cards on arcana cards, somewhat i transformed my raksasha's gale slash into heat wave, this would be good AOE atk for future encounters. I recommend Oni for he doesnt have weakness
Having rebellion+sukukaja and hysterical Slap/Swift strike is too broken here.

Slime can easily get physical resistance at level 7, then you can just fuse what you need from there
