My husband was at this very Milwaukee concert just months before I met him. He passed away recently and when I watch this I can imagine him there watching and listening to his favorite band of all time.
I saw zeppelin several times, and they were the gold standard to which no other band will ever come close to the magic page, plant,Jones and Bonham made!
Wasted again and crying literally crying over the brilliance of Jimmy Page. No one does what he does no one comes close. We have been fortunate to be able to witness it.❤
Even when Page is playing literally all over the damn place going who knows where with it completely differently to the original, he still has the presence of mind to land back on the major chords that the song hinges on and thread it all together! Masterful!

I’ve seen Robert Plant 4 times in Washington State since 2013. He is still Amazing and he incorporates the songs from Led Zeppelin in his concerts, it’s not the same as Led Zeppelin but he still gets the Led out ! He is a musical genius. ❤️

If Page isn't drooling, or looking a bit like a mess, it's not Page. If the playing, and the guitarist isn't a bit sloppy, it's not Page. And if he doesn't kick your ass out of the park doing licks no one has ever done before, or ever since, it's not Page. Even when he's bad, he's good. And when he's good, he's great. There's no one like him.
Plant no longer has the vocal range he once did and it is noticeable. But I guess he lived a hard life and unfortunately it takes its toll on ones body
This was a great performance, with Plant in true form and Jimi Page at his improvisational best. But I'll never understand why they didn't bring John Paul Jones into their post Zeppelin collaborations. I've heard them say in interviews that they didn't want give the impression that Led Zeppelin is "getting back together". Fair enough. Without Bonzo, it's not Zep. I get it. But there's no reason they couldn't have toured as Page, Plant and Jones, with other musicians like this to back them up. If they're going to be playing Zeppelin songs anyway, why not have 3/4 of the band instead of just half. It's not like JPS's contribution to those songs was minor. He was arguably one of the better, if not best musician in the band. I think there was still a lot more great new music to be created by the three remaining original members working together. It's unfortunate that it was never given the opportunity to happen.
Thanks for sharing! One of the best concerts ever.. Absolutely star struck to see Plant & Page perform.. Lucky last min tickets 23 folding chairs from the stage..Place was dead, most of the crowd were totally uncool. Someone threw a rock at the back of my head for standing?. Ha, no problem I was able to go right up front and stand in the Isle!
PURRFECT performance! I saw this one in NOLA at the Lakefront Arena! The night was unforgettable as usual with these guys! The orchestra took this one a step above! Thanks for posting!
Are you serious? he squeaked like he had a nut stuck in his zipper . . . why does everyone try and give him back what he lost? He killed his high end in the early 70's so from 79 on he learned to use his style . . .
