Telescope Peak “A Hike Of Endless Vistas”

This was a hike of Telescope Peak (11,053’) in Death Valley National Park in January of 2022. In the winter the road up to Mahogany Flats where the trail begins is usually closed to you may add 1.6 (3.2MI round trip) to the hike. We started at 7:30am and finished at 5:30 PM taking our time and with a nice long break on the summit to take it all in. You will have views throughout this entire hike.
I suggest taking with you crampons, or ice spikes, and an ice axe for safety. The snow can turn to ice and the slope can be steep in sections.
Wild rose campground offered a good place to camp 6 miles before you reach the charcoal kilms where we began hiking from.
