And what the heck? Can't they do something about their studs that run through the unit? Haven't they ever heard of Acorn Nuts. Those studs are knuckle busters. And I would replace their ceramic bearings. They are fine where you have a lubricant around them but stink when it comes to being dry. Try running a water pump with a ceramic seal without water. They don't last long. Just a little dust will cause the shaft to be worn out quickly.
Sounds like a wallet grinder! Something is binding in there, probably a bad alignment between the front and back bearing. I bet they also omitted a field saturation winding, intentionally weakening the generators strength. I wouldn't be surprised if they removed it before shipping. Hence the lock washers were loosened in [the] shipping [department.]
Really?!? And how was gerard's completely different? Correct me if I'm wrong but, was he not trying to use a 10kw off the shelf conventional generator from harbor freight? Oh that's right he was! So how he was building something completely different according to you is beyond me! And btw this is not a conventional generator, you would know if you had any first hand knowledge of the technology or its inventor, but I digress
that’s a bad deal to not get what you paid for with this realracecom - supposed Zero Cogging, FTC guy false advertising on his part - thanks for sharing - I trust that the unselfish price and share that you have graciously given will save many others from falling victim to this TH-cam realracecom guy Please provide more follow up if this guy does make this right .......
Agreed absolute trash - Joe Shepherd takes your money and then delivers a product that is very sub-standard and far from the claims he makes! Do not waste your money with anything to do with FTC Innovations or the Franklin Thomas Company!!
Watch the end of the shaft closely. For being a well built machine ( ha ha ! ) the shaft has an awful lot of runout. And if lock washers didn't hold, you have to wonder if they were even installed correctly in the first place.

Gerard Morin was building something completely different. This generator is merely a conventional generator.

It sounded like a metal trash can being rolled through a junkyard.

Exactly
@@JasonJoplin Take a look at his "New 792 Amp Zero Cogging Generator" video. He has the pulley fall off in his hand. Ooopsy. :-D
Lol, I know I saw that!
If it sounds too good to be true...
