I had a boss just like him. I loved working for him. He was strict, but he was strict with everybody. And he had a great sense of humor just like this man.

Tod wasnt just a boss to him, he was like a father to Axel Foley, you can see the relationship they had, regardless of what Axel did to disobey him, he always proved to Tod what a real detective is and the lengths he was willing to go to prove his case no matter what, Tod deep down new Axel was the best cop he had, what he was willing to sacrifice to prove his point is a strong reason Tod never let him go and allowed him to get away with so much, in Beverly Hills cop 3 Tod tells him before he dies "Axel are you on a coffee break? Go get that son of a bitch" and he dies in his arms, you see that relationship I'm describing between them at a peak high point just before he Tod dies in part 3 😢
You get the feeling that Eddie got on this big "one last ride" kick after that, and you saw it with Coming 2 America (James Earl Jones, and as it turned out, Louie Anderson and John Amos) and Beverly Hills Cop IV (John Ashton)
They also should of put the part close to the end of Beverly Hills Cop 2 when he told Foley "Now that your done being a California Hero you need to get ass back to ur real job while you still have one!
Love the bit where Axel asked to talk to him after the shooting, about Rand, and Gil stops to listen to him sincerely, because even though he thinks Axel's a loose cannon...he still knows he should to listen to his officers.
The fact that this was his first and only acting roles in Beverly Hills Cop 1 2 and 3 is crazy this man was a natural I'm sure he had plenty of opportunities to act but he didn't do it
Inspector Todd is one of my favorites from Beverly Hills Cop 1, 2 and 3! He can handle Foley in no time just like his own son in the family if you want to solve a crime or want something you need you to ask Todd for it! Massive issue with 3 along with no taggart and bogamil was he's character departing the movie from pretty much the start of the movie,it's one thing that doesn't get talked about enough in relation to bhc3s issues,awesome character.
