Im not saying I would not get them but alot of what you can do with these you can do with tube lights and just mount the tubes to an adapter that hold 2 to 4 at once . With this unit you have this huge power box where tubes it's wireless
@@stalmanplus I ordered the 22c. The separate AC/DC will drive me nuts but I'm sure they'll have an Aputure branded Pro version for me by the time I'm ready to move on. I was just getting tempted by the Intellytech so this was perfect timing.
I love the less polished style of this video Tyler. Nice to see you make this as well as the super pro videos on your main channel. Keep up the great work.
I've been hearing a lot of hubub about the fan noise on these. Is it really that big of a deal? I know you held it up to the camera, which didn't seem that crazy to me. Have you had a soundman mention it while shooting?
Stoked for this light and I pre-ordered. Trying to figure out if my current boom stands can handle it at full extension. Website says the fixture alone is 1.9lbs, with the soft box 6.25lbs. Can you verify that the soft box weighs 4.35lbs? Seems odd to me...if true I'll have to buy a boom arm that can handle the weight. Thanks in advance!
I haven’t weighed but I can confirm it’s quite a bit heavier. Depending on your use case I’d suggest maybe creating a basic diffusion diaper instead, just use same cable ties and it could add 0lbs to your setup
This is all a product show and tell needs to be tbh. I think TH-camrs sometimes overproduce this kind of content and pad it out too much. Videos about gear don't have to look as fancy as the stuff you can shoot with it. I think loosening up the presentation is a good thing!
The colours look terribly ugly when you are going through the HSI spectrum, it destroys the skin tones. I am not sure if it is due to the way u color graded this with some kind of general LUT but it really gives me no confidence in this light.
I am very excited for the F22C. Can't wait for my pre-order to arrive.
Thank you for sharing that scene above the table. It was crucial for what I was looking for.
I want that F22X so bad for my small 200sqft office. Looks like such a good compact package.
It’s so perfect for that, the ultimate small space key light
Green/magenta tint is so important to match it with other lights - if you're serious about it, go with the f22c
These are awesome blows my falcon eyes out of the water
Used some sky panels on a set. Very cool lights. These have a similar feeling, just a lot cheaper

6:45 it's called "hollywooding". Gaffers hate it when you ask them to hollywood a light.
All I needed was your hot takes so this is perf
Hot take: for the price, it’s basically perf. But i would have designed it a little differently for my uses

Yeah, the intellytech might be fine but I’ve still never tested them and they’re still quite expensive so I’m not sure
@@stalmanplus The 3x4.5 was calling to me but realistically a 2x2 is gonna be more nimble.

Glad to hear it was useful! Since it took about 1/10 the time 😁
Nice light but where did u get that jacket. Lol
Great video!
Thanks for confirming no green/magenta on x.

They’re really punching above their weight for their “consumer” products. Like, damn, those look great!
You’d be hard pressed to know they’re supposed to be consumer. If you’re flying them with a battery, they are pro in my books
what light stands are you using?
Can that box be used to power the amaran 200D? Since it has a V mount for a battery
No

How would these compare to Westcott FlexKit for headshots? Thanks
Which V-mount would you recommend for the Amaran F22C? 🫡
