Burg Eltz - Castle Eltz - Catillo de Eltz

Die Burg Eltz ist eine Höhenburg aus dem 12. Jahrhundert. Sie liegt im Tal der Elz, die das Maifeld von der Vordereifel trennt, südlich der Ortslage auf der Gemarkung der Ortsgemeinde Wierschem in Rheinland-Pfalz auf 320 m ü. NHN. Das Bauwerk gehört zu den bekanntesten Burgen Deutschlands. Wie das Schloss Bürresheim und die Burg Lissingen ist es eine jener Befestigungsanlagen in der Eifel, die niemals erobert werden konnten.
El castillo de Eltz es un castillo medieval ubicado en las colinas sobre el río Mosela entre Coblenza y Tréveris, Alemania. Aún es propiedad de una rama de la misma familia que vivía allí en el siglo XII, hace 33 generaciones. Las casas de las familias Rübenach y Rodendorf en el castillo están abiertas al público, mientras que la rama Kempenich hace uso de la otra tercera parte. El palacio de Bürresheim, el castillo de Eltz y el castillo de Lissingen son los únicos castillos de la orilla izquierda del Rin en el estado federado de Renania-Palatinado que no han sido nunca destruidos.
Eltz Castle is a medieval castle nestled in the hills above the Moselle River between Koblenz and Trier, Germany. It is still owned by a branch of the same family (the Eltz family) that lived there in the 12th century, 33 generations ago. Bürresheim Castle, Eltz Castle and Lissingen Castle are the only castles on the left bank of the Rhine in Rhineland-Palatinate which have never been destroyed

Este Castillo es hermoso, lo conocí el año pasado y quedé fascinado. Hice trekking desde el castillo hasta Moselkern siguiendo el río, y el paisaje es muy bello. Buena cámara espía la que que metiste en el tour dentro del castillo, te la jugaste eh!

A família ainda é proprietária do castelo
Eles não moram lá e por isso é aberto para visitantes
Mas fico imaginando como deve ser legal ter um castelo
E eles são donos desse castelo a mais de 700 anos.
