Let's gooooo JD! Watch all the time. Appreciate all your hardwork brother. Better days are coming for our Sharks. But even following the rebuild has been fun. (I'd still prefer winning)
Boston Bruins draft mostly big players too. Except Todd Marchand who plays bigger than his size. The Sharks are making good progress in these drafts. They will probably draft in the Top 5 next year. Then they can start moving up faster in the standings and challenge in the playoffs for many years. Enjoy the journey.
I’m not so sure anymore lol but the hope is top 5 pick cause I like Logan Hensler RD and Porter Martone RW a lot for their size skill and how we can place them in the lineup
@@robertevans00 Sounds like a plan. Next year will be a learning year for the youngsters. I am curious to see how Mitchkov in Philadelphia compares to Mike Smith. I think Mike Grier is modeling the Sharks after the Boston Bruins, which I like.
Wish we would have taken one of the top Russian goalies with our second 2nd round pick. Russia has been pumping out high end goalies. Other than that we absolutely killed this draft. I love my Russian forwards so I’m ecstatic we got Igor. I really liked Nikita Artamonov simply for the production he put out in the KHL for a first year draft eligible player. I’m no scout though. Getting Igor at 32 is an absolute steal.
first 3 picks were chef's kiss. LSW didn't light my bulb. Wetsch could be something. Roberts is a no nonsense physical D who will police the front of the Shark's net well as a bottom pairing guy. the goalies were completely off the board for me (did scouting services even rank them?). guess Grier didn't like Irbe much to take a chance on Leenders? whatever, throw darts at as many Euro/Asian goalies as you want.
i had Mews ranked high 2nd round and Wallenius in the 50's. Mews is a solid puck moving D and great puck distributor. he can have gap control issues at times. Wallenius has ? about processing and can be a pylon in the DZ. more of an offensive D. Mews is RHD, Wallenius LHD. i would've taken Mews if D was desired, but then there were a couple of F's avail (like Stiga and Eriksson) i had ranked in the 1st round still available.

Huge W on your question about Jumbo's role! That alone was enough of an impact at the draft. 😂
Appreciate all your work, JD!
First three picks were solid. Great job by Chris and the scouting department. Hadi and Sebastian really like Igor.
I’m excited for misskey!
Thanks JD!
Grats on 3k! You deserve it mate! Keep it up 🎉 you have been absolute fire this draft coverage JD
Big W
Congrats on 3k man.
How many prospect will be on the roster opening night? Mack, Will and Mukh seems to be locks, right? Musty and/or Halttunen?
I think Musty will get about 20 games or so but not be there to start, with Haltunnen and Cagnoni spending another full year in the OHL/AHL
Maybe gushchin too
@@whoopswrongbutton3987 more like 9 games so we can extend his ELC! He gets 10 games we lose a year
@@robertevans00 that’s right, I was fairly unsure of that number haha
I didn’t realize he was a RHS so he can play either wing and help out our top 9

Should we have taken mews instead of wallenius ??

Nah Mews has a chance to be decent but he’s at best a 3rd pair guy nothing that drops your jaw LSW has higher upside
The fact that we wont know for another 4 years or so.
@@infinity-vm4ul very true!
@@robertevans00 neither has 1-2 D upside, that's why they were taken in round 2. LSW doesn't "drop my jaw".
