Banana Fish in my opinion is a masterclass in good story telling with wonderful characters and plot! Honestly its so underrated for how amazing the show is, it has insanely good pacing and MAPPA did an amazing job animating and adapting the original manga which was made in the 80s Although it has a funny name the anime is surprisingly very dark and deals with mature themes and covers sensitive topics really well. Its heartbreaking, there's a mystery and tbh its been 4 years but I still haven't moved on from the impact this anime left on me. I really hope you consider watching this anime its an experience you wouldn't want to miss out on
Pretty much this XD I watched it when it was airing and..... well I'm still not okay. The best part is going to conventions when I actually come across vendors selling stuff, it ends in tears every time
Banana Fish really introduce me to Survive Said The Prophet and King Gnu, look how big they are now And my most fave from this show is definitely ED2! Especially how peaceful it is, really cured all the depression from the show, but at the same time, the lyrics is...
Highly reccomend this anime! Dont search anything about it on google tho cus google will immediately spoil you. My fav anime. If you do reactions to it then do keep in mind you wont get many views since its an underrated anime but please dont give up on it.
Very dark anime about gangs and drugs, there is some darker themes to it like human trafficking and human experimentation. But mostly it takes the idea of broken characters that live a life of trauma and these characters aren't really annoying crybaby characters they still are cool despite having such a traumatic life. Every episode is good, fast paced right from episode 1. Lots of action, some fight scenes too
my favorite is also probably the first ending, then the second ending. you were right because the second ending truly needs the anime's context to be impactful. Banana fish is such a silly title I love watching people misinterpret the vibe 😂 it is an impactful anime and the manga too (it's from the 80's actually). I'll be around and I hope I'll see you watching it 👀

This series is quite a heartbreaking and heavy masterpiece. Just be prepared for that if you choose to watch it.
The moment you said comedy the moment i got hooked to this video
oh my God the internal scream I had 😳😳 I'm at work rn but I can't wait to watch this!! You would analyze the hell out of this anime 🤯
Definitely not a comedy 😅
It's a masterpiece in my opinion, you should react to the show it would be great!
I agree, such dark themes in this anime including human trafficking. The characters are broken, come from a traumatic life
i mean the manga does get pretty comedic sometimes to be fair but the anime does NOT reflect!!!
I remember 11 year old me watching this thinking it was a comedy b/c of the name ❤
With Naruto my favorite anime of all time hands down
