I'm about to build the same kit. I'm doing some research, I have some constructive feedback to share that might benefit others who are going to build this kit. The Eduard Superbug has the early type exhausts. All of the decal options should have ECS exhausts (upper fuselage, between vertical stabilizers). Funny enough, Eduard includes them on their illustrations, but not with their kit. However, you can buy the proper exhausts via aftermarket. Eduard makes a set (they should have included it in the kit), or Quickboost I believe. It really is a beautiful build though. I love this scheme since it's a commemoration of Speicher who was shot down by a Mig-25 in a legacy Hornet, and was KIA. I know a Hornet pilot who knew him. Anyway, thanks again for sharing this video!
Very nice build Headmod. I hope you don't mind a few observations: *.- The F/A-18 E/F has its weapons pylons canted outwards by 4 degrees. The AGM-158 under the right wing is of that axis. *.- Try to use putty to bridge some of the gaps between pieces. *.- It's a good idea to paint, decal and weather the model before adding the pylons. *.- The landing gear wells can be painted in the first place, so it's easier to do the fusselage color afterwards. *.- Paint the exaust nozzles detached from the model, add them at the last moment to get a good metalic color. *.- You can drill the M-61 Gun opening for a better effect. *.- Primer makes everything easier and better. Very nice build and video. Keep them comming ;)
Super video. Nice building. I have house trio F-18 Super Hornet products Hasegawa. One F-18E, second F-18F. And third licence Eduard, me country Czech Republic. This video, very very good for me inspiration. Perfect production of longer flying. I like it. Neither a new fighter nor a plane that has been flying for too long :-). THX. Edward.
Do you clear coat the AK steel (and all the xtreme metal series in general) before the wash?Im in this step and I heard that they can't handle washes if you dont clear coat them
@@Headmod Thanks for the quick reply..I have already applied AK Steel color on the intake fans and iner exhaust (kinetic F-18C) but instead of AK base I airbrushed gunze gloss black as a base color..So clear acrylic coat next..
..sorry..but I can't watch a video if it is not complete..!! ( I and I'm not going to spend the time imagining what happened during that time.....) ..sorry...
I'd love to see a video of your collection. I always enjoy seeing how everyone displays them.

Best of the best^^
Very good build. Just a pity about the start of the build being lost. I do have a question: what did you use for the glow in the dark strips?
I used Luminous Tape from Amazon
What resources did you use to research the loadout options?
Google and Wikipedia
Top😁👍
must be using a very fast glue. Couldn;t make it out. P.
s. The inside of the jet exhausts are ceramic...i.e. white.
Bug 😂
It's okay. There are much better modellers out there who are not polish.
