truth is companies required "applied AI" which is just using bunch of already made A.I. tools available in market. These are easy to learn and use. As a result, employees which are already working in companies can easily adopt to AI. This is the reason salaries are low for new hires in AI as compared to SDE roles (for those who do competitive coding). But But But.... if you go for research labs in MNCs which is more tough to get into ...you will earn a good some money (1 lakh dollars starting) but then you required PhD from a good foreign universities, research aptitude, and focused mindset. You social life could become boring as hell. But then you are the one designing those dangerous AIs 😅
I work in the field she is studying for. Even average engineers can easily ask for around >16-17 lpa once they finish a year or two in those starter companies that offer 4-5 lpa.
