I'm watching this in my local Walmart. The first guy in front of me just pull out a stack of coupons which takes forever to scan through, whereas, the second person in front of me just forget his debit card pin and two expired credit cards. Lastly the third person bought something does not have a barcode and the cashier is calling the manager. 30 minutes already and I'm still waiting.

      But you know the fact,
They tried to make it as "futuristic" as they can, but in fact, there is nothing new in this concept.
The first conveyor belt sushi “sushi train" restaurant was opened back in 1958. It wasn't just the way of serving food but also the idea came with a smart ordering and billing system.
Not going to dig into the history, but ticket food ordering machine and vending machine ordering were used by all the ramen shops in Japan back in the 80s.
      Now,
What's new about this store? The exact same concept of the sushi train with a different looking container "robot"?
E-ink display price tag? I first saw it in my local grocery store nearly 10 years ago.
      Self checks out service???
Why this is not anything "futuristic" not because it's in China, but because it has nothing innovative.
People are not blind, and we have memories.
Why do you think you can just adopt other people's ideas just adding a little twist and call yourself an innovative?
      Make some real shit.

That’s why US is encouraging and supporting Japan’s growth, economy and influence wise. I think there should be more robots to sort out the products for online orders instead of people running around. It wouldn’t be as chaotic!
