In mid December 2020, when this music was added to the game, I have fond memories of exploring Dragonspine in the Christmas Season and this selection of tracks perfectly contains that Christmas spirit of old.
Dragonspine is a place you will love for its beauty, and you will hate for its climate. They translated perfectly into gameplay the experience of being in a place you don't wanna be. Also... sad, very sad
This one my favorite of all of the Genshin. When they droped this album on yt its started to snow in my city out of nowhere. I was sitting at my work place, watching snow, listening music, felt magical
Dragonspine released during December back then was very fitting, and for people who live in country without four seasons like me its like experiencing snow in game
That was lovely never heard the live version before ❤☺️ Wish there was an option in the game that would allow us to set YT vids to Hoyomix and we get the clean audio from the live performances in the game.
Once you get past the story of the first region (Mondstadt), you can look south and see a giant snowy mountain. That's Dragonspine, where you can hear these music on.
Now that u have already reacted to so many Genshin soundtracks, I really recommend for you to watch and react to the Genshin Impact Orchestral Concert 2023 which was held in Shanghai. That was an AMAZING live concert which played most of the well known Genshin Impact songs that u have already reacted to and u will probably recognize specific songs from each of the different regions, but they are played in a live setting with audience, an orchestra, traditional instruments from each region, vocalists etc. Highly recommend for you to check it out: th-cam.com/video/RgcOQo-Ty_I/w-d-xo.html
the OSTs in Dragonspine are kinda bittersweet, it makes me cry.... I wish we could see a cut scene about the past of that ancient Kingdom in the Mountain before the snow devour it, before Durin and before Barbatos
Love the music of Dragonspine - it is peaceful, but that hit of sadness is there that really goes with the story of that place in lore. So poignant of a place.
Ah Dragonspine... that would be the huge mountain you can see from most places in Mondstadt where you're playing right now. It has a lot of lore and its own storylines... but I wouldn't call the experience peaceful 😅 fellow genshiners know our ptsd with it
Yeah this is definitely one of those areas where the music is loved SO. SO. fondly. But the feelings about traversing the area itself........not so much. 😅
@@Lucky0x I kept. Getting. That map. Over. And over. And over. And over!!! I will say, it did have one of my funniest Windtrace experiences though. For any newer players reading this, when Windtrace started out, Hunters could see through the box they're confined in at the start of the game. But not every player knew that. I was a hunter in, yet another Dragonspine match. I saw every Rebel go to the right from the starting point, as they usually did for that map. Then not long after, I noticed something to my left. I turned to look and saw a player had accidentally set themselves on fire on a brazier, so the burn dmg numbers were what attracted my attention. Then they turned into a box on the brazier, and jumped off and settled right near it. So, of course, when the countdown started, I immediately went over to them and caught them. They said in the chat how Zhongli (the character I was using) was too strong. And I said, "Actually it's cuz I saw u moving." Them: "oh.." 😅
@@BlackTigr yeah die from a hunter or from cold and freeze.. 😆 i couldnt stay long enough to the best spot to hide becauss it was far from the fire.. damn annoying but i missed that place
@@Lucky0x Oh do you mean the spot in the center where the pillar was broken in half? Yeah I tried hiding there a couple times too....... Always died before the round ended. 😅
The music not only fit the snowy fantasy festive season but many failed to mention that it also fits the lore of Dragonspine very well! You will know when you begin to explore the place and get into the story.
It may have been mentioned before but the pianist is Yu-Peng Chen, who is well known as the main composer for Genshin music up until about the start of Sumeru (he then left to pursue a solo career, his album has been released recently I think, maybe a few months ago). You can see him in the Liyue orchestra video as well I think (and in another one the camera shows him in the audience seats). He is so well-known among Genshin fans that there was some fear that the quality of the music would drop without him but Hoyo-Mix proved those fears wrong xD there were already many pieces people liked that he hadn't composed himself and the music since then (for most of Sumeru, Fontaine and of course Natlan) has been written by other composers and they do just as good a job, though I think every composer will have their own feel and vibe. Dragonspine's music is one of my favorite in the game (and I've been playing since summer of 2021). I got to Dragonspine early and because I was unsure who to level and I also didn't feel like the game was pressuring me to do so, I still had like level 1 to level 4 or 5 characters. I decided to level up after things got too hard. In Dragonspine fights would take like 15-20 minutes with regular enemies and bosses took so long the boss would reset often xD (over 30-40 minutes sometimes). But I also got to listen to a lot of the music there and I like the area too, even though in real life I hate the cold and cold places xD I still think the dragonspine battle music is one of the best in the game, even with many many good tracks after it. I prefer the in-game versions of the tracks from this concert though. Anyway, sorry for the long comment. Thanks for doing these reactions
I remember exploring Dragonspine when it came out. It was Christmas time and I wasn't able to spend Christmas with anyone, so, I was alone in home, playing Genshin. I felt lonely... and the music in Dragonspine wasn't helping me to feel better at all, haha. Still, I loved it so much. I remember just stading around a lot, looking at the beautiful scenery and listening to the music playing in the background, getting filled with emotions. Now, this location always brings me the memories of "lonely Christmas". I am sure there are many people who have some memories attached to specific locations, or specific music from the game. To this day, I still play Genshin and I still love to immerse myself in this world and its soundtrack.
how have I never seen this before. I've seen every concert and live performance mv and I never saw this one. you put me onto a video even I don't know about
6:39 level of serenity indeed. This is the song you hear when you try to survive the sheer cold mechanic in Dragonspine. Definitely not a place for Genshin newbie to explore, wait until you reach AR20+ or having veterans Co op friend to guide you.
You'll be surprised to know that this plays just by being in Dragonspine. It does make you feel like you shouldn't be there but also like the best place to calm your mind at the same time. Sadly the in-game OST doesn't feature the children chorus.
2:35 My fav song in Dragonspine "Moonlight Smile" 👍 so peace in a very cold place.. And the one who plaued the piano is Yu Peng chen. The one who behind these good music of genshin. You van search them on Hoyo mix channel. And Now he has his own channel becaus ehe no longer in genshin.. I recommend this : Song of Innocence. It has type of song same as in the video. Sir you wont regret it👍👍👍👍👍👍👌👌 Thank you for the video.. look forward to the next one, the game exploration video and Scaramouche bosses🙏🙏 Have a good day
This is a place without sin which was punished by Celestia God of Genshin Impact for no apparent reason. all the residents froze to death in a disaster that turned the green mountains It became ice cold. That's why you will listen to sad music because the background of this place is gloomy
For every Genshin Reaction on this channel 😀
Enjoy >>>>

Oh I remember finding the Claymore and being so excited I shared it with my friend. Such fond memories
My most favourite soundtrack in Genshin. The day i do not get teary eyed anymore while listening to this, my heart must have turned to stone.

I remember, I would stay idle in dragon spine just to listen the music until the freeze creeps in and kill my characters 😅

This music always makes me cry.
Music being beautiful is already enough to make me cry. But knowing the story and events that took place in there makes me cry even more.
@@rurikko I call that the genshin experience lol when you hear genshin music and it reminds you not only the place but also what happened there

Bring back my tears😭 Too many memories in DRAGONSPINE with Old Friends who are no longer active playing Genshin Impact 🥲🥹
