MUHAMMARA (roasted red pepper & walnut dip)

Lakis invites you for a trip to the fascinating culinary world of the middle east with the classic Syrian dip of Muhummara. Incredibly simple to make , this vegan dish just bursts with rich flavours and deep colours and makes a fabulous accompaniment to any BBQ or as part of a meze. We made ours with home-made pomegranate molasses....see our video @The Taste Buddies • POMEGRANATE MOLASSES ... if you want to do the same, or buy this truly versatile condiment from a good delicatessen and have it in your storecupboard....it's uses are endless! Muhammara keeps extremely well in the fridge and the flavours develop as it sits...but to eat it at it's best, serve at room temperature.
