This already sounds like pure nostalgia to me and Minecraft’s still a fairly recent game. I imagine I’m just gonna start crying if I ever hear it in the far future
I get nostalgia and I still play the game lol probably cause while playing I usually don't listen to the music just play but when I actually go out of my way to listen I get huge feels feeling is amplified if on hot summer night with fan in background no lights and on a minecratt pause screen
I feel like the reason why Minecraft's music is still a treasure too hold is because it didn't use common instruments, it used uncommon but such beautiful instruments, but when Minecraft's new version of their game got released it lost that beauty within the music.. I miss old Minecraft music.
I like the new music and the old music a lot. The new music hits a spot for me that the old music never did, but I love the old music for nostalgia and the memories i associate with it.
@@SealWithoutHat the piglin theme is definitely a new vibe but I would really like if they go back to their roots and either get c418 to make another song,or get something similar to that feeling, because it was perfect
In my eyes, or more like ears, most of minecraft’s songs are only the happy type of nostalgic because we associate good times with the music. I think they portray a clear tune of loneliness. In some it’s a peaceful kind while in others it’s sad and, well, lonely. Minecraft is just as much a masterpiece of a game as a musical concert
It makes sense. Minecraft started out as a single player game, and I guess C418 wanted to capture that feeling. The feeling of having a the world at your fingertips but no one to share it with.
I like the music a lot, it sounds very nice to me regardless of the game. I did not play Minecraft for long enough to build any nostalgia. Also the music has never reminded me of loneliness, though I can understand what people mean when they say it sounds lonely to them.
Subwoofer lullaby sounds like a good example of a tune of loneliness because just by the sound of the song, if you heard it without knowing what Minecraft is you would probably think it sounds like a soft game over theme
Videos like this remind me how much I love being a percussionist and that more people need to understand that "drums" aren't just the loud rhythm section.
These are the sounds of our childhood. Hearing these makes me sad about the memories I once had with friends I no longer have, the all nighters I would pull on split screen, in a dark room. It’s sad that these memories no longer live in reality but whenever I hear one of these songs I immediately close my eyes and tilt my head backwards. It was truly simpler back then. No worries about girls, peer pressure, school, maintaining toxic relationships, or the inevitable realization of growing up. The only question we had to answer was what to name our tamed wolf. (Thanks for the likes, luv you guys🥺)
When I was a pre-K teacher, I would often play all minecraft music on a loop in the class (minus the nether music for obvious reasons) and the entire atmosphere of the classroom would be much calmer than the other classrooms. Naptime was also easier. I cant stand the classic lullabies and it gets really old, and the kids never really responded to it, but C418's minecraft music worked magic. When it was time for dancing, I would play the jukebox discs and they especially loved Strad which ironically is my favorite of the discs. Anyways, the handpans for Aria Math was beautiful as it is my absolute favorite of all soundtracks. Masterfully played, dude.
God, Minecraft music has that magic nostalgia that makes me wish I was young again and I was playing in that one Skyblock world with my siblings, or building that one huge structure in Superflat, or messing with slimestone mechanics in a 'Redstone Ready' world and accidentally nuking it all, or anything like that. There was always something so special about Xbox 360 Minecraft thats slowly been slipping away from 'Bedrock', but is still in Java for some reason to me.
that is because Java edition is still being managed by the original Mojang studio, by mostly original employees, but bedrock edition is handled by a newer Seattle studio, which I think is more directly controlled by Microsoft, and Microsoft doesn't give a single shit about making the game good, and instead just wants money, so they are ruining bedrock edition, but less so java edition
@@JovanLemon thats not the point lmao the point is that the old music is tied with old memories, not 'fuck microsoft because they don't make good music' Lena Raine and the others do a phenomenal job with the music, and i'm sure i'll make more memories with the new 'bedrock microsoft' music and look back fondly on it, although, a small complaint is that it doesn't feel like minecraft really. i might just be biased for my childhood, but whatever.

@@LordFloofTM The real issue is that handpans do not regularly come in the pitch that C418 had used. C418 himself just pitched down his handpan playing to save him the expense of getting a custom designed instrument.
If you listen to his non-minecraft discography, he actually uses these instruments a lot! There's a lot of kalimba on his album ONE. His catalog is so underrated you should really check it out.
Soothing to hear Minecraft’s soundtrack played on the instruments! Thanks for your hard work and teaching people about new instruments they might have not known about or didn’t know the name of and whatnot It teaches me a lot about percussion instruments for sure
Holy moly, finally someone _actually_ played Aria Math on the hang drums and didn't just title the video "Minecraft music cover" while playing completely random notes instead. And not only that, a bunch of the other best tunes in the game on other great instruments as well!! This was a treat, thank you for this 🌟
As a Pianist, I love watching videos like this and trying to piece together how the piano theory has been shaped and changed to fit each instrument. The marimba is built similar to a piano with its keys, the hand pans have all the notes but they are in different places, and the kalimba notes go back and forth in a ending/descending order. Fascinating!!
It's always nice to see acoustic instruments replace synthetic/programmed sounds. A lot of "musicians" have no idea what awesome music a well-developed percussion set is capable of. I'd really like to hear a full-fledged cover of Minecraft's music with a creative use of real instruments. That could make an awesome resource pack!
I love showing real instruments and not just electric sounds! I have a few full covers of different Minecraft songs now, Sweden, Wet Hands and Pigstep. Have a great day!
Minecraft's soundtrack does use real instruments for a lot of it's songs (including some used here like the hand pan thingy), but also the synthetic sounds of minecraft's songs are also really iconic and give the songs that vibe of nostalgia.

I only started playing Minecraft a few years ago, but I still find myself sadly nostalgic for those earlier years of playing. So much has changed in just a few years... My attempts to relive those times through Minecraft are always somewhat futile though. Just teaches you to live in the moment, enjoy what you have, and perhaps put the devices away for longer in order to truly enjoy life then. I do enjoy Minecraft, but it's a love hate relationship. It, and technology in general, has become something I use to repress and distract. I write this knowing I should follow my own advice, but also knowing it's addictive hold. I don't mean to be a downer, I think it's fine to take a break and have fun, but for me it's taken over and it's something I need to get control of before more of my life and loved ones pass me by. So, yes, enjoy the music and the game and the memories, but don't forget to move forward and make new, important memories too, especially with those you love.
Idk about other devices, but on xbox 1 there is two versions of minecraft. You can get the xbox 360 version of it (where they havent added updates for a while now) and bedrock addition. It's nice to sometimes go on the 360 version and remember how much simpler it was and play with the random people you met in minigames (that some people still play).
Funny how the comment is a deep, meaningful comment from someone who really cared about what they were saying to the replies being “hey y’know could still play Minecraft though”
I think of when I played minecraft and how little I was aware of what was going on in the world, now I realise what its really like and keep wanting to go back to being little and live as a five year old again as that was when I was happiest.

Minecraft holds such a special place in my heart. From bottom the game up and just listening to the music, it just fuels your imagination. And the reason it holds such a special space in my heart is because of my little brother who died at 9 years old. Him and I would enjoy playing it on our days off from school. We'd always boot up the game when we were bored and wanted to just build. He grew Ill and we went to go get him a check up. Turns out, he had Late stage Lung cancer (No doubt from the smoking going on in the house from my father and mother) and after a long time of trying to get him treated, he just told us that he didn't want to live if he needed so many meds to even function. And so we let him die as he wished to. Before that day, i asked the doctor if i could hook up my gaming system to the TV in the Room so he could play his favorite game one last time. He got s guy to help us hook it up and i bought out the two controllers and we began to play. For a solid 2 hours we were playing and getting pretty far. Until, i saw his character stop moving entirely and heard the heart monitor do it's never ending beep letting you know that he passed away. To this day, i still Build on that world. I renamed it "7/12/2013" which was the day he passed. Rest in peace Seth. You will be missed brother.

Omg. As I listen to this, I'm getting nostalgia from the first time I played Minecraft 9 years ago. I had never heard of the game before but when I played it I fell in love. I absolutely loved the creative and survival aspects of the game, with no need to complete the game in a rush, but rather go at my own pace. Listening to these tunes as I replay the game is what really brings me back to this moment and I thank you for managing to make my nostalgic memories come back with your awesome percussion.
you know, it is kinda cool how these *percussion* instruments are able to play the songs so spot on, considering C418 (the person who makes most of the minecraft music) used little, to no percussion at all in their songs
Very strange take. These are tonal instruments, and the Minecraft score is tonal music. Not to mention that pretty much all of these instruments are very similar in sound to the electronic samples likely used in C4’s work.
Does anybody else have a really emotional reaction to the Minecraft music? I think it's just cuz it's such an integral part of my childhood so whenever I hear any of the Minecraft music it just hits really deep.

Just the fact that I've had all these happy memories because of Minecraft, booting up the game for the first time, making my first house, playing with friends, going exploring, watching Minecraft creators like DanTDM, stampylongnose and PopularMMOs, beating the ender dragon for the first time, playing on massive servers like hypixel. All of these memories come flooding back to me everytime I hear the soundtrack, I feel so happy and lucky that I was able to experience those moments, and also sad that I will never be able to experience them for the first time ever again.
More "peaceful solitude", to me.
I really like minecraft music, it gives you something to listen to as you play. Although I do get bored of it after a while.

It brought me back to when I was younger watching stampy play let’s plays
Cause Microsoft has financial interest in monetization exclusively.
Notch made it for the game, not for the extreme monetization.
that is because Java edition is still being managed by the original Mojang studio, by mostly original employees, but bedrock edition is handled by a newer Seattle studio, which I think is more directly controlled by Microsoft, and Microsoft doesn't give a single shit about making the game good, and instead just wants money, so they are ruining bedrock edition, but less so java edition
@@JovanLemon thats not the point lmao

All of these memories come flooding back to me everytime I hear the soundtrack, I feel so happy and lucky that I was able to experience those moments, and also sad that I will never be able to experience them for the first time ever again. That part felt soulcrushing, cause I knew that one day, Minecraft would eventually be forgotten with time. And I would hate for that to happen.
Minecraft means so much to me, and holds a very special place in my heart. So sincerely, thank you, Notch and Mojang. For creating such a timeless masterpiece.
And thank you, Joe, for playing these songs. Hope this year goes good for you.👍
I miss sitting on TH-cam after school and watching all their videos. I'm happy it happens but sad I can't witness it again
❤️❤️ Sweden is definitely the most nostalgic
I love how they named it after their and my country too
I somehow keep forgetting how calm Minecraft music is sounds like something to listen to while falling asleep
I remember playing songs would just pop up and it would always feel like they come up at specific times.
Minecraft would start randomly in the game.
Sweden would always start in a clear field or high mountains.
Subwoofer lullaby would start at sun rising. Sometimes before or after rain.
Haggstron would start during the rain or thunder storm.
Wet hands would always start sun set.
