SL 5 Nov 23 Pied billed Grebe

A Pied-billed Grebe traveling across Salem Lake, Linville Road end, near Winston-Salem, NC. Like many kinds of waterfowl, they look as though they're gliding through life, when we know they are paddling like crazy just under the surface of the water. They're a good example to us on how to maintain composure even when working hard! And since they're winter residents here, they remind us of the change of seasons.
