Feminism gets painted with such a broad brush, it can be almost impossible to define as someone inevitably says "That's not what it means to me!"
It can make it a difficult thing to debate in the first place when everyone is starting from a different base.
I definitely plan to read this book as I think it's super important to shift the conversation to institutional changes, as you said. If Roe vs Wade isn't enough to show people that women wearing makeup isn't the real issue we need to be addressing, I don't know what will be.

Anyone at the extremes of an ideology will lack self awareness , it is one of the reasons they got lured into extremism in the first place , they lacked the awareness needed to see just how toxic the extreme end of an ideology can be. And it is the reason why extremists are so hard to talk to , they lack the ability to self reflect and really see just how toxic they have become and how harmful they are to the cause they claim to promote.
