Yayy!! This makes us so, so happy to hear. We will totally pass your message along to Sarah because we know it's going to make her so happy to hear as well. Thank you for painting along with us.
Just finished this tutorial! I still feel pretty clumsy when it comes to watercolors cause I’m new to the medium, but I had a lot of fun! My favorite part to do was the technique you used for the background. Thank you so much for the high quality tutorials!
I have really been looking forward to this tutorial because I love the reference card colors. Much to my delight Sarah did an amazing job of walking through each step. Her encouragement when I felt I had a mess was so welcome. Thank you Sarah for this fabulous lesson. I will be working on this for some time. Looking forward to the live paint.
I liked this tutorial best. I especially enjoyed your more painterly techniques- the best qualities of watercolor lend themselves to this project. Thank you for teaching all of us.
Wow! Just finished mine and it felt so good to paint. Thanks for showing the drawing process and loose style. I've really been trying to loosen my style so this was such a help! Thank you so all you do!! 🤗
Beautiful. Cant wait to do it. I subscribe and love the paintings you chose for us. This one is right up my alley as far as colors.. drawing the flowers/leaves.. hum we'll see.. Thanks for all you do and making it fun.
Sarah I love your tutorials. I have learned innumerable things. And your a total effervescent love bomb! While following along, every time you say ok, I say NO, and pause to catch up. I’ve been really successful with this. Please can you help some with of the colors you use and break it down a little in case we’re not using the same paint. I have tubes. Thank you and Blessings Jennifer (on Michael’s pad) lol
Yup~ there are two types of watercolor paper: cold-press and hot press. Cold press is bumpier and adds more texture to your watercolors. Hot press is smoother and allows for more even washes.
Sarah I love your tutorials. Recently though I've noticed that the volume on your mic is not up as high as it is on the live paint along where people can let you know to adjust it. I'm not totally sure if it is the volume or the location of your mic, but it would be helpful if you could adjust it higher, especially for those who may be aging and getting slightly hard of hearing. Closed captioning is nice but can be hard to follow while painting. Thank you for all you do!
Here I am catching up on older videos, well, because I want to do them all.. But I found out that I'm not the only one that uses sound effects to describe things.. Hehe.. 😜
Hmmm maybe explaining leaving some leaves white until later would have been good to know sooner. Sometimes you explain some things a little too late. Otherwise, I love your tutorials. I have learned sooooo much. Thank you! 😍
The way you break down the way to draw those flowers is the first time “flowers” have actually made sense to me! Thank you!

Serrated edges. I like the casualness of your video.

Nice one 👌 but the paper which you are using look like have very smooth surface is it ok for watercolor ?

Yes, it is 140lb cold press Canson XL paper. It has a texture to it but is not as textured as Arches 140lb cold press 100% cotton paper.
I’m going to do this one, but would it be okay to use masking fluid or masking tape, to keep the paper white till I work on the daisies?
Wow! Who knew yellow the go between! Yellow unifies lol

I know you can wet the back before painting that helps to none warp it..

Sometimes they work better than words.
What water colors do You Use?
Dandelion has it’s own line of liquid
