I'm sending a card for every day of lent this year. I've been painting watercolor post cards for a couple of years but rarely send them out. This one felt like the perfect way to send a note! Thanks Sarah and Keenan! A pleasure as always!
I did a bookmark with the pages turning into birds, but I'm really liking the flowers blooming out of the book. This is my next card that I'm sending to a friend that I used to trade books with! Thank you for the inspiration! ❤️
Keenan! You are ROCKING with the ideas!!! Favorite book, put a word, flowers from the box, etc. I mean, mind blow! For someone super special, say a spouse, you could make it look like It’s a book written just for her with her favorite flowers, things she likes, words that make her feel special. Oh yeah! I’ve caught the Keenan~wave!
Love all your videos and love you conversations! I've been watching since 2018. Such inspiration. I had to share as I heard what you were trying to find out about the Black-Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta) and the Purple Cone Flower (Echinacea). They are in the same daisy family called Asteraceae.
Coneflower: Genus Echinacea. Black-eyed Susan Genus Rudbeckia. They're both in the aster family. I have at least 3 close friends this card would be perfect for. I'll use bright blues and fuchsias and add some sparkly accents. Very pretty.
❤Sarah, I am watching this a year later so you may not see this but I love love love this painting!! ❤ I also loved hearing about your love for books!! Same here… I honestly think I came out of the womb crying for a “Little Golden Book”! 😂 I read as a little girl under the covers at night with a flashlight. After I had gone to bed on any given night I would NEED 😂 to go to the bathroom. I wore flannel pj’s with elastic waists. I put my book 📕 partway under the waist and the top half was covered by my pajama top. After awhile Mama would tell me to get back to bed. I would always be sitting on the toilet lid reading my little heart out. 😂 One of my most frequently asked for was “Just one more chapter please??” I love Historical Fiction as my favorite book genre. My favorite authors are Francine Rivers, Jennifer Chiavirini, Jan Karon. Sadly, I lost my vision except for a haze in my left eye due to a virus. I can read with one eye but it is not as enjoyable as it used to be. I tried audible but discovered I don’t really like being read to. I love your work, your personality, your humor and how real you are. You brighten up my darkest days since I found you. Am pretty much bed-bound and am alone 99% of the time. Thank you and God bless you. ❤️🙏🏻📕📕
our library has an outreach program for people who can’t get to the library (shut ins etc). you tell them the books that you want.. they mail them to you. you read them then schedule usps to pick them when you are finished.. and do it again!!! i first started gettjng like 15 books!!! 🙄😳😃 now it’s 5 a month.. thank you libraries!! yes dog ears!!! and i’ve been know to make a pencil mark in a library book!! 🤦🏼♀️
