Dinosaurs ruled the earth for 160 million years. It seemed they would forever dominate the biosphere. But one day their world was destroyed by a huge rock the size of Everest flying from space.
This is the story of how the era of ancient reptiles came to an end.
The last day of dinosaurs. This is a documentary about the day the dinosaurs died.

I can’t wrap my head around how powerful and mysterious this world is. It’s all so hauntingly fascinating to me. Will we be here in another 100 million years talking about the extinction of humans?
Probably not. We're one of a billion spiecie. In all history, all of it, not a single spiecie was able to record their work and shape the word like we do. We're special and in wierd way. Imagine this, in all of history evolution didn't producet something even slightly working like us. We venture in space, we can study eons of past, we are special.
Chance is, wen we dissapeared, life on earth will never be the same. It might be a good thing, it might not to be. But still... It is haunting.
Gonna happen sooner than later...
something massive will happen at some point and wipe human off the earth.
We are a species of SURVIVORS. Long story short, by the time the Sun engulfs our solar system's terrestrial planets we will have long since migrated.
if an astroid comes again some day we will nuke it

@Charles Gosnell ofcourse not they r just animals after all no matter how big and ginormous they were.
R.I.P dinosaurs? Please, those giant lizards were no match for the power of the elements. They were weak, and they deserved to go extinct. Don't waste your pity on them. We're only alive because of this cataclysmic event as well, we'll all return to the stars soon enough.
The reason you can't get your head around it is because God told us a different story, his word is inside your heart. God created us with the choice to listen or ignore him. Unfortunately alot of people have teamed up with evil to teach children that the world is billions of years old and they we came from monkeys. God explained in his word that he create everything in six days and rested the seventh day. All of the "scientific evidence" these people use is the same stuff you can see yourself everyday. Our earth layer mostly consist of sediment layers formed during the world wide flood of Noah's time, it also killed most of the dinosaurs, people hunted and captured the "dragons" for years after the flood. I like how they talked about the small animals that was here for a while, how before the big dinosaurs. While out also hunting on the Red River I came across a flat kind of rock with two bumps on it that looked pretty neat but I didn't realize what it was. I was talking to a geologist friend and he looked at it and mentioned those were fossilized eggs and upon better inspection you can tell they were eggs and they had little cracks in them. It might have been a small fossil but it was big in a surprise that no telling how long that been here on Earth.
Fossilized eggs? How quaint. The small animals you speak of were just a stepping stone for the true rulers of the earth, the dinosaurs. They were the ones who left their mark, not some puny little creatures that couldn't even hatch their own eggs properly. And as for your little rock, it's just a reminder of the insignificance of those who came before. The dinosaurs were the true masters of the earth, and nothing can change that.

So dinasaur were not reptiles nor mammals but a distinct group where also the birds belong
@@jozefgoethals6867 Dinosaurs were reptiles and the birds branched off from the theropods which included the T- Rex.
@@anthonywebb7570 Then had the T Rex feathers?
@@jozefgoethals6867 possibly.
If you watch eagles hunting and capturing prey, you can imagine a pteradactyl 🤗
Dinosaur One, watching an incoming meteor: "It's the end of the world as we know it." Dinosaur Two: "Oh Al, you and your conspiracy theories."
I love earth and this universe ❤
Thank you so much ❤
It’s so strange to me that dinosaurs are not more popular in talk and belief. It’s truly magnificent that they existed and that we literally have proof to prove it!
I've always been fascinated with dinosaurs. Just imagine how awesome it would be if you could somehow go back that far in time for say, a month, with today's high tech equipment, especially high tech HD cameras and just record dinosaurs from all over, and safely come back to today. If i could go back in time with that scenario, that is the time i would want to see ( as long as i and a large team would be safe). Sure would be very interesting to see how they really looked compared to CGI dinos.

I totally agree with you
I wouldn’t wanna go back lol dinosaurs are cool and all but the planet was probably too dangerous for humans back then.
Did anyone else cry? Poor buddies...🥺...too scary!
I'm so thankful for the funny comments!!!! Thank you funny people 👏👏
Some of them survived and evolved into birds
So good of National Geographic to have been there to film this humongous moment in history!
Wonderful video, very well made! Thank you I really appreciated the trip to our planet’s past. Poor dinosaures, what a tragic ending with so much suffering.
It really was a sad story😭😭😭
A video full of gross misinformation. Yeah how good
So true don’t want to be buried to death
respect for the cameraman for filming this for billion years😊

Is there any live coverage of what happened that day. I'd really like to know their perspectives.
Even Humanity would've seen an apocalyptic end after such an Extinction Level Event. At BEST we'd live but it would bring us back to the Stone Age.
A documentary that doesn’t claim we, humans aren’t at fault for this massive destruction. This is the most horrifying story, for the poor animals. I read many theories about the extinction of these “brutes” but this is the most relevant.
What other theories did you get to know about,, I thought the meteor impact was obvious as there is data and proof that this actually happened,, but still anything is possible
@sanwyrth no I understand this but i genuinely have 2 questions if you can help me out with this
1 we're dinosaurs in only one part of the world or they were there in most of the continents,
2 what about the flying dinosaur s they could move about from the disasters
This was a fantastic depiction of how the dinosaurs fell by the Great Asteroid!
Crocodiles, alligators and birds survived all this 🙌🏽
Un très beau documentaire
A very beautiful documentary especially on the life 🦕 of dinosaurs before history
The bell ring has been activated and the subscription to the channel
Its so sad there all gone but i can't imagine if they would still be here then it would be all a big disaster😂
