My favorite scene in Daemonslayer was Felix pleading with the lost dwarfs to save themselves and leave behind their treasure. The dwarfs went dead silent at the mere mention and hit him with that Umgak stare, which left Felix silently and deseperately begging for the floor to swallow him out of that embarassing situation.
So, sad story, I ended up dropping Vampireslayer about a third of the way through. It was pretty bland, especially coming on the heels of Daemonslayer, (Edit: and Dragonslayer)without much tension, as, if Matthias Thulman can kill a something-arch vampire from Lahmia in his Witchhunter Omnibus, another one doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance against Gotrek. Also the “is he gonna drug and hypnotize Ulrika into loving him” tension was pretty disgusting. I already hate hate mindcontrol as a plot device, and it’s infinitely more disgusting in this kind of situation. That was kinda the final straw, I’d already been bored as it was just a vampire, and decided to ditch it there. The only two plot points I cared about were hoping Max stayed good, and wondering if Ulrika chose him or Felix. Imagine my grief and horror, when, after a few months of making my way through the Fabius Bile books and rereading part of The Beast Arises series, I returned to G&F and started listening to Giantslayer only to hear of Ulrika’s fate worse than death. At least Max was ok :(
Considering the power armour I'd want without question is the nanosuit. I have no idea if it is the best or anything but it is just so versatile. It has good stealth/invisibility, strength enhancement and speed as well as making you extremely robust for short amounts of time.
