Hey doc - another cool video. Question- When did these snap on smile teeth come to the market? I had never seen them before. any grinding down or huge modifications before the person gets these placed? Also can you eat anything you want and do people remove them at night? Just wondering. Thanks
Hi Mick:) Snap-on Smile was invented by a NY dentist about 9 years ago....There are no modifications to the existing teeth so case selection is extremely important...Patients with large teeth are not good candidates as the appliance will make their teeth look too big...The patients are able to eat and drink with no issue and we encourage them to only wear when needed and definitely take them out at night

I got my Snap On Smile a few weeks ago (upper only). I am getting used to the look because they seem bigger than my regular teeth. The bite was off at first but my Dentist made the necessary adjustments. I am wearing them only a few hours a day to try to get used to them. I still hear a slight lisp. I tried to eat with them but as I chewed I felt the Snap On moving up and down. I am curious if some patients have experienced this issue when eating. Thank you for your time.
Yes, the eating part? I tried that and it was very uncomfortable. As far as the lisp. I had to do some adjustments myself. Now it's ok. Got mines 9 months ago
@@Alpha_Damon Thanks for your reply. My dentist had to redo my impressions and I now have a new SnapOn upper. They fit more securely. I tried eating only an olive and it feels funny chewing. I tried to bite into the olive with the front teeth but it hurt my natural front teeth. I find it difficult to remove the appliance and insert them. so if I am out and about and want to east throughout the day, it will be difficult to remove the appliance each time, they are not easy to remove. How did you adjust your lisp? Thank you for your time. Do you wear them everyday, all day?

Almost everyone wants White teeth so yes, then all white teeth can look fake...but that is what is desired not...This Snap-on Smile looks very realistic regarding fit and shape and size of teeth...I was referring to the fact, it looks more like a veneer case...but I agree, it is White, White, White!

I’ve seen videos of her doing snap on smiles on people that had really bad teeth, I’m curious as to why a cavity would stop her? It’s not permanent 🤔

@@pdee5164 I shaved the bottom ones down. I found that's Where my Lisp came. Yes I do clean and wear them everyday.

Bonding was too expensive and it would have chipped and broken due to the wear and tear of her natural teeth...
