- A sweet story about a big fan, Tom Williamson and his wife Angie who came to SF for their 25th anniversary and wanted to buy me a drink... I normally don't call people back (no time to answer everyone!) but there was something about the letter and the anniversary being the same as me & Kari that got my attention. I couldn't meet them but decided to set them up for an anniversary dinner at my restaurant, El Paseo.... you've got to watch to find out the unexpected surprise coincidence at the end of the call!
You're a class act Sammy. Been a big fan of yours for a long time...since the early 80s.....but also love the way you treat people, your kindness and just a great vibe that comes from you.

I was married back in June of 2005. We spent our honeymoon in Lake Tahoe.
While we were there, we spent an evening at Cabo Tahoe where we had the nicest gentleman serving us. Turns out it was your son Aaron. The way he treated us and showed us some of his artwork of Van Halen, spent time at our table talking with us was fantastic. You raised your kids well and I see the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Great job!

This is pretty awesome. Sammy's a good cat. Seems like someone you could hang out with, drink a beer (or Beach Bar Rum) and watch a football game. Always been a huge fan. His music kicks ass and he's a genuinely good dude.

Sammy you were my first concert when i was 13 lol. We drove down to the st. louis checkerdome and krokus was opening for you. It was the best concert i have ever seen and you had so much energy it was a blast. I have been a fan ever since and i still jam to your music daily and i also practice alot of your songs singing and playing guitar. Thank you for all the grat music and memmories. I saw you with van halen on 5150 also. Another great show and twice when you went solo again. Keep rocking brother.

My fanactic Redrocker dream would be to meet you and a hug; peck on cheek would complete who I am now. Sober marching one foot in front ....and staying in a Tropic of Cap state of mind.

I have an online friend that worked security ( lead officer ) for a concert that you did in England, Sammy. Once he found out I was a fan of yours, he emailed me some pictures from the show with the agreement that I would never share them and I've stayed true to my promise. In one of the pictures that he took from the wings of the stage, you are steaming towards him for taking pictures from the wings. According to him, you two had a few words, but after the show you ended up partying together. Everything was forgiven. You're a class act, brother.

That’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen a rockstar do for a fan!!! My wife and I are coming up on our 25th anniversary here in November 20/20. When I tell people how long we’ve been married. They always say the same thing. “Wow! That’s so rare nowadays”. God I hope not!! Love is the strongest bond that a person can ever share with another. I met my wife when she was the girl across the street. She was 16 and I was 17. That was 30 years ago. She became my girl pretty much the second I layed eyes on her. 25 years of marriage and 4 children later. She’s still the most beautiful person I’ve ever experienced. I know that this video is 4 years old but it’s that 25 year mark that made me appreciate it!

I was born and raised in Boston. The very first concert I ever saw was at the Boston Gardens. I think it was 1978. Sammy was the opening act for Boston. I’ll never forget it. Sammy sat on the edge of the stage playing a slide guitar and tossed it over his head which was caught by a roadie. It was awesome.
It's so nice to see that even with your huge success and accomplishments, that you are still a down to earth guy with a heart. Love ya Sammy! You rock!

In Sammys book, meeting his wife is so cool. He said he was the biggest rock star at the time (still is) and he invited her out and SHE SAID NO. She never heard of him and was not impressed with his great body of work, three lock box, standing Hampton, planets on fire, etc and could have any woman he wanted. Being a Rock Star, has its perks... He went to say in the book that she said she could not go out with him for some reason and HE WAS SMITTEN. It is a great story and one of a number of great stories in the book. Mr Hagar is the best. RH DSD

Sammy, I met you in Toronto, in 1991 while you were on the " For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" tour. After the concert outside the Four Seasons Hotel, I sang the chorus to song " Poundcake" and you said " You got it" . I just want to thank you Sammy for being so cool 😎 to me brother. You were a big influence on me becoming a singer. Thank you again for your kindness brother

I just read , RED the Sammy hagar story, and this act of kindness does not SURPRISE me one bit. Mr. Hagar is a Stand-up guy. Under Rock Star in the Dictionary , you will find a picture of Sammy as the Greatest Voice and Lead guitar package, that ever rocked a Shed. AND- he has a Very Red Berlinetta BB V-12 Ferrari boxer. I couldn’t imagine getting a call from Sammy .I went to the Monsters of rock Van Hagar in 1987-88 at the Akron rubber bowl in Ohio and it was my first concert and I’ll never forget it .Being a diehard fan and redhead,Ed’s passing hit me the hardest and everytime I hear a VH song I start to tear up and eventually I smile but I just wish I could’ve met Ed and Sammy on a personal level .You rock Sammy ✌️and love man .

How cool is that? I would not cross the street to meet a celebrity, but Sammy is one of those rare cats whom I would love to meet. I saw him at the Monsters of Rock in Denver. I was in the sixth, center row and learned how to play where Eagles Fly by watching him play. One of the best shows I've ever seen.

Sammy you are such a blessing to your fans. I met you in the late 90"s at a restaurant called Ca Del Sol in Toluca Lake. I was walking up to the front door and you were kicking it on the front bench and you stood up once you saw my eyes get big. I tell everyone that you were one of the nicest guys and it I still smile when I think of that day.

Was watching this because i recently discovered "hey i think i like this guy" because of things like this, started reading your book (and therefore sleep deprived today). Grew up in Va Beach, still live in the Area. The Hampton Coliseum is a great arena! Good stuff!
