Heat is pegi 16, but i still think forza shouldnt focus that much on making their game family friendly, most importantly if it affects the storyline, take a look at how much better fh1s storyline was

Some past experience on ban appeal. Silvy2k is a small content creator focused on drifting was permanently banned without explanation. And it took the plead of big content creators, a community manager (shes gone now) and several days of dispute to actually get unbanned. He got unbanned but he lost all of his world record on leaderboards. Let's hope the outcome of this drama is a better enforcement system, better communication and clearer policy in the future.
I made a Twitter thread not too long ago on this exact issue. Good players getting mixed up with cheaters, then banning the legitimate people over the cheated. They did no research leading to his ban then blamed him on other things he never did after they got proven wrong. As a PR stunt nerd I am worried about my my scores and others like us. Once you get past the top 50 especially on drift zones people get suspicious.
It still amazes me that my ban happened almost exactly a year ago, and it was by the same person who is still getting flamed today. I’m not going to say the persons name, however I can’t believe it took all of that effort from you guys and myself. Every day I’m thankful for people like you, retro and don for sticking up for me. I feel sorry for the people who don’t have a voice or anyone to help them after they get wrongly fully banned, or banned because forza changes their banning policy.

I got banned for saying "band." I even made sure to emphasize the fact that I was referring to my BAND along with my BANDmate Nick who likes to go to the range with his AR
That litterally happened. I was talking about how a music glitch with the band Starset was happening in game, and how it had ruined the song for me, since it has become too popular and was being played everywhere, on end screens, in the festival without the radio on. Just loading in, I even tried to bring it to the band themselves, Dustin is a busy guy so a game using his music is probably pretty low on his list of problems, but forza, straight up 2 week ban.
I made a white van my drag car... put a v12 in it with drag tires and that thing was a monster. Opened up the community liveries page and someone made a sticker that said “free candy”. Thought it was funny so I slapped it on the side of the van... * Banned for “child endangerment” * 🤦♂️ ... why was I able to open up community liveries and find “free candy” on the first page - especially if it would result in me being banned the second I put it on my car???

Fr. I got banned today when I was talking about a car with a mod, and I disagreed with him, I said it wasnt something I liked, respectfully. This got me insta-banned.
Because the mods are soft, easily-triggered people who can't admit to ever being wrong about anything. Same goes for the rest of the T10/PG community teams. Most bans are because they feel insulted that they were criticized (even if it is constructive and offers solutions), not for any actual offense.
I got a week ban for putting on a vinyl that says “drive fast eat ass”, yeah, it was justified, but it got me thinking. I played a game called rocksmith a while back on ps3, if you dont know what rocksmith is, think guitar hero with a real guitar. In rocksmith, there is a music library where you can purchase dlc music, some of this music can be explicit or suggestive, but the game is rated T, but how can this be? Well, rocksmith puts a message out saying that content in the dlc is not rated by the esrb and more or less to “play at your own discretion”. This allows players to pick music they know to learn, so how does this relate to forza? Imagine if in forza, before accessing community vinyls, you agreed to a message saying that content in community vinyls is not monitored for certain content, that you must be over a certain age to access community vinyls, and therefore to browse at your own discretion. If you have not agreed to this warning, community vinyls on other cars will not show up for you. This would prevent people from seeing content they don’t want to see, it would save forza a lawsuit for inappropriate content not being monitored, and it would allow the forza community to go nuts with their liverys. It may not work and there may be holes in my idea, feel free to give feedback!
I could have sworn in previous Forza there is basically this. It's sad because I remember having a pedobear van livery in horizon 1 and the fact that I couldn't have that anymore is kinda sad. Honestly IMO all they need to do is do something when it's addressed. Like blatant racism being reported by multiple members of the community should be looked at. The FH4 ban issue is like a leaking pipe. The Forza team is just trying to mop up the water without actually stopping the leak. And if no one bothers to fix this leak, it will get a lot worse.

seems to me is that like ever since 2019 ended this entire year has just been full of corrupted game companies just banning people for no reason... it kind of sucks when you just want to play a game with your friends but you can't because some company baned you for no reason
R* has tried to fix what they did to RDR2 and GTA, and it's worked quite well, and Gaijin refused to fix any major problems with War Thunder and are just ruining it even further. Those are the only other two I know of. 2020 has been wack.

If a livery with a rising sun logo that is widely use in Japan locally, can get one banned and classified as 'pornography', Japanese car makers should just cut their deals with Forza, Toyota especially. im willing to bet someone jokingly reported the livery as pornographic, and they never had a human look at it, to confirm that it was or was not in fact pornographic, so when they went to look at the reason for the ban they just went and searched shinyodd, banned for pornographic content, and that was it. Regardless its a REALLY shitty system if you have to find out the reason, 18 months later, in an official response to another content creators video. realllllly shitty stuff tbh.
I think it is more likely that there is a pre-made list of "reasons" and the top one is pornographic content. Whoever banned him didn't bother writing why, so it defaulted to the top option.

I feel that the E for everyone rating is slowly ruining this game. First of all, it should not be an E for everyone game as it is street racing and includes illegal street racing but because there is no nudity, drugs, or alcohol and they removed any trace of a curse word/contraversal word it is not rated T and is rated E. It also ruined some of the radio stations as they censored many words in a song that could be "offensive" or "bad" like for example removing the word High or God from songs. And now people are getting banned for anything that could be ever so slightly seen as "offensive" because the stuck up executives dont want to lose their precious E rating, which seems to be at a higher priority than the players. Dont get me wrong, I love this game but the way the dev's / Microsoft executives are acting towards the community is just completely wrong.

As much as I've loved the Forza series, motorsport and horizon, I think I can finally say, if they don't fix and resolve these issues soon, I will be leaving the series, I will not support hypocritical people who back-stab their fans.
If anyone asks who is to blame for all of this, it's not forza, playground games, or YTubers, but Nitro Glitter is the main reason why all of this. The moment she took over as the boss of the mods in forza Discord, all of this was starting to build up for months n months until this point and the some of the original mods (20+) was banned because they didn't wanted said issue to get worse, but their heard was ignored, thus this drama has occurred. Nitro Glitter is the blame n the main fault ALL of this that happen in the first place period.
First Forza video I've watched in about a year or so. Glad I got out early. I'll probably return though when this settles down or when Forza Motorsport 8 is released. (If that's even a possibility.)

She also deliberately decided to ignore and delay tickets, and give vague patch notes that did not include any changes to the slightest features (e.g. changing the 2019 Corvette ZR1's wheels and shortening car names, such as the 2016 Lamborghini Aventador SV's name). There were also claims that she bullied RetroKrystal (one of the decent community managers in Forza) so much, about her SuBmIt A tIcKeT thing so much, that she left.

I got permanently banned from CoD WW2 customization for using their in-game bolt symbol in a WiP logo. No warning or anything, but people run around with swastikas and naked grills lol.

I recently got banned for a rising sun on my livery. I even made it slightly inacurate with 17 rays because of what they said. I'm not 100% this is why I got banned, but I've made nothing else that could get me banned. I asked about this without mentioning the word ban in any way so I wouldn't get auto banned, and i wasn't but a moderator said to me that I couldn't ask about that and banned me. I seriously don't get it. They said it was ok if it wasn't accurate, but I guess that's only for them and not the players..

I used to have a Rebel flag on my Dodge Charger because it was a recreation, I had learned of the livery bans a week or so after it came out, so I rushed to my console, got on FH4, and immediately replaced the Rebel flag for an American one, which I’ll be honest, the General Lee is one of my favorite cars ever, so it’s sad to drive it around now. Considering I do power slides and drifts in it a lot with friends, I don’t like this, all because I feared for being banned and losing all the time I put in and fun I had playing this game. They have never done anything about these liveries ever, until you all know what happened. That’s really sad.
Maybe we can look into this deeper, form a list of signatories and take playground games under the law. Forza cannot exploit players who buy their game with hard earned money by banning them like childs play. Studios need to pay for their abusive/ exploitative actions against their consumers. Definitely this will send a shock through the organisation and will have the employees looked into.

Yeah, I already experienced how broken their moderating team and ticket support is. I was banned from the discord, by logging in, seeing people ask about FH5, so I jokingly said "When will Forza Horizon 4+1 be out?", and yes, just before sending that a moderator said to stop talking about FH5, but I after sending that message wrote that I'm joking and will stop, and continued to answer Forza Horizon 4 related questions, 2 minutes in i was suddenly banned. I went on an alt account and saw that only I was banned, wrote a ticket and explained the situation and asked why was I banned. The answer I got was so bullshit that I can't even, apparently I was banned because a moderator numerous times have told ME to stop with the off topic discussion, I looked in with my alt account and saw that 4 others had an off topic chat and in fact the moderator has warned them a couple of times. But they weren't banned, I was banned, for writing one message, not knowing that the moderator warned the others numerous times. And what? My ban wasn't revoked or anything, they basically said "deal with it". No moderator has warned ME, and I was left feeling like a scape goat, I wrote a joking message at the bad time. It's just bullshit tbh, and on my server, albeit I don't have the 6K members, but only 850 members, but still, when it comes to people that are not playing by the rules, we warn them as well as offer a reason for their ban.
"They" is a bot the set up to handle bans which like any automated system has flaws. If you go forwards through the current update to get a car and use it online, they'll find it as the car shouldn't be in your hands yet. It's a bit of a hard line to walk as it's not clear where it goes but for the most part you shouldn't worry about it.

@@raptorjackson6397 that's still a bot. It's likely that the flag for the bot to reference wasn't removed so it detected the flag even if it shouldn't have been there as the season had changed. My guess is it's just a coding oversight by the developers which isn't all that surprising.
Di Angelo Gaming The issue is despite it being a bot. The system is banning innocent players as Shiny mentioned. Some of my friends literally got banned for no reason for how fatal the flaws are in the algorithm.
The two more recent racing games I played were that one ps4 racing game that was like forza motorsport but with vr support and fh4. I really like car customization in games so I spend more time in the menus than actually playing. In the ps4 games I did decently good liveries so when I got fh4 I got into the livery maker, did a cool livery in one of the sides and when I pasted all my work on the other side... It was horrendous, for some fucking reason all the stickers were higher than where I put them originally. Since that day I've never touched the livery maker again

Bruh when this first came to light one of my buddies actually got two warnings from Turn 10s Forza team cause he had a normal Japanese flag on the roof on a GTR. Not the rising sun flag, the normal white flag with a red dot on it. Also please wrap your R30 IRL with your forza livery

I made a Twitter thread not too long ago on this exact issue. Good players getting mixed up with cheaters, then banning the legitimate people over the cheated. They did no research leading to his ban then blamed him on other things he never did after they got proven wrong. As a PR stunt nerd I am worried about my my scores and others like us. Once you get past the top 50 especially on drift zones people get suspicious.
It still amazes me that my ban happened almost exactly a year ago, and it was by the same person who is still getting flamed today. I’m not going to say the persons name, however I can’t believe it took all of that effort from you guys and myself. Every day I’m thankful for people like you, retro and don for sticking up for me. I feel sorry for the people who don’t have a voice or anyone to help them after they get wrongly fully banned, or banned because forza changes their banning policy.

I was talking about how a music glitch with the band Starset was happening in game, and how it had ruined the song for me, since it has become too popular and was being played everywhere, on end screens, in the festival without the radio on. Just loading in, I even tried to bring it to the band themselves, Dustin is a busy guy so a game using his music is probably pretty low on his list of problems, but forza, straight up 2 week ban.

Fr. I got banned today when I was talking about a car with a mod, and I disagreed with him, I said it wasnt something I liked, respectfully. This got me insta-banned.
Because the mods are soft, easily-triggered people who can't admit to ever being wrong about anything. Same goes for the rest of the T10/PG community teams. Most bans are because they feel insulted that they were criticized (even if it is constructive and offers solutions), not for any actual offense.

I got a week ban for putting on a vinyl that says “drive fast eat ass”, yeah, it was justified, but it got me thinking. I played a game called rocksmith a while back on ps3, if you dont know what rocksmith is, think guitar hero with a real guitar. In rocksmith, there is a music library where you can purchase dlc music, some of this music can be explicit or suggestive, but the game is rated T, but how can this be? Well, rocksmith puts a message out saying that content in the dlc is not rated by the esrb and more or less to “play at your own discretion”. This allows players to pick music they know to learn, so how does this relate to forza?
Imagine if in forza, before accessing community vinyls, you agreed to a message saying that content in community vinyls is not monitored for certain content, that you must be over a certain age to access community vinyls, and therefore to browse at your own discretion. If you have not agreed to this warning, community vinyls on other cars will not show up for you. This would prevent people from seeing content they don’t want to see, it would save forza a lawsuit for inappropriate content not being monitored, and it would allow the forza community to go nuts with their liverys.
It may not work and there may be holes in my idea, feel free to give feedback!

The FH4 ban issue is like a leaking pipe. The Forza team is just trying to mop up the water without actually stopping the leak. And if no one bothers to fix this leak, it will get a lot worse.
I hope it gets to the point to where nobody will buy horizon 5 if they dont do anything about this if they wont listen you have to make them listen.

I feel that the E for everyone rating is slowly ruining this game. First of all, it should not be an E for everyone game as it is street racing and includes illegal street racing but because there is no nudity, drugs, or alcohol and they removed any trace of a curse word/contraversal word it is not rated T and is rated E.
It also ruined some of the radio stations as they censored many words in a song that could be "offensive" or "bad" like for example removing the word High or God from songs.
And now people are getting banned for anything that could be ever so slightly seen as "offensive" because the stuck up executives dont want to lose their precious E rating, which seems to be at a higher priority than the players.
Dont get me wrong, I love this game but the way the dev's / Microsoft executives are acting towards the community is just completely wrong.

If anyone asks who is to blame for all of this, it's not forza, playground games, or YTubers, but Nitro Glitter is the main reason why all of this. The moment she took over as the boss of the mods in forza Discord, all of this was starting to build up for months n months until this point and the some of the original mods (20+) was banned because they didn't wanted said issue to get worse, but their heard was ignored, thus this drama has occurred.
Nitro Glitter is the blame n the main fault ALL of this that happen in the first place period.

The most recent example is Bokuten.

I recently got banned for a rising sun on my livery. I even made it slightly inacurate with 17 rays because of what they said. I'm not 100% this is why I got banned, but I've made nothing else that could get me banned. I asked about this without mentioning the word ban in any way so I wouldn't get auto banned, and i wasn't but a moderator said to me that I couldn't ask about that and banned me. I seriously don't get it. They said it was ok if it wasn't accurate, but I guess that's only for them and not the players..

I used to have a Rebel flag on my Dodge Charger because it was a recreation, I had learned of the livery bans a week or so after it came out, so I rushed to my console, got on FH4, and immediately replaced the Rebel flag for an American one, which I’ll be honest, the General Lee is one of my favorite cars ever, so it’s sad to drive it around now. Considering I do power slides and drifts in it a lot with friends, I don’t like this, all because I feared for being banned and losing all the time I put in and fun I had playing this game. They have never done anything about these liveries ever, until you all know what happened. That’s really sad.

Maybe we can look into this deeper, form a list of signatories and take playground games under the law. Forza cannot exploit players who buy their game with hard earned money by banning them like childs play.

Yeah, I already experienced how broken their moderating team and ticket support is. I was banned from the discord, by logging in, seeing people ask about FH5, so I jokingly said "When will Forza Horizon 4+1 be out?", and yes, just before sending that a moderator said to stop talking about FH5, but I after sending that message wrote that I'm joking and will stop, and continued to answer Forza Horizon 4 related questions, 2 minutes in i was suddenly banned. I went on an alt account and saw that only I was banned, wrote a ticket and explained the situation and asked why was I banned. The answer I got was so bullshit that I can't even, apparently I was banned because a moderator numerous times have told ME to stop with the off topic discussion, I looked in with my alt account and saw that 4 others had an off topic chat and in fact the moderator has warned them a couple of times. But they weren't banned, I was banned, for writing one message, not knowing that the moderator warned the others numerous times. And what? My ban wasn't revoked or anything, they basically said "deal with it". No moderator has warned ME, and I was left feeling like a scape goat, I wrote a joking message at the bad time. It's just bullshit tbh, and on my server, albeit I don't have the 6K members, but only 850 members, but still, when it comes to people that are not playing by the rules, we warn them as well as offer a reason for their ban.

"They" is a bot the set up to handle bans which like any automated system has flaws. If you go forwards through the current update to get a car and use it online, they'll find it as the car shouldn't be in your hands yet. It's a bit of a hard line to walk as it's not clear where it goes but for the most part you shouldn't worry about it.

@@raptorjackson6397 that's still a bot. It's likely that the flag for the bot to reference wasn't removed so it detected the flag even if it shouldn't have been there as the season had changed. My guess is it's just a coding oversight by the developers which isn't all that surprising.

Di Angelo Gaming The issue is despite it being a bot. The system is banning innocent players as Shiny mentioned. Some of my friends literally got banned for no reason for how fatal the flaws are in the algorithm.

The two more recent racing games I played were that one ps4 racing game that was like forza motorsport but with vr support and fh4. I really like car customization in games so I spend more time in the menus than actually playing. In the ps4 games I did decently good liveries so when I got fh4 I got into the livery maker, did a cool livery in one of the sides and when I pasted all my work on the other side... It was horrendous, for some fucking reason all the stickers were higher than where I put them originally. Since that day I've never touched the livery maker again
