Thanks BassManBob!! Not my most exciting video. I just wanted to try to help anyone who needs it with the harness. Thanks for watching, Now we can get the car running and have some fun.
Bro, so i just got my son an 04 grand prix gt2 and found some cut wires underneath that I wasn't sure what they went to and this video just cleared that up for me! It's his first car and I want it right so THANKYOU for making this video! I just sub'd. You rock! ✌️🎉
Thanks bro, Im glad it helped. Good choice of car for your son. They last forever and if they do break there cheap and easy to work on. I enjoy being able to help others and hearing about your cars. I reply to all my comments. If you ever need help with something else, just ask.
keep these videos coming very informative. i have a Buick LeSabre I’ve seen a couple videos about top swapping to a l67 im just very nervous tearing my car apart since its the daily driver. so far on the car I have zzp power logs and a tune from intense performance but I wanna get further into modding it, these videos help a lot
I get that, It's hard to work on your car when you need it as a daily driver. Still not impossible tho if you find a free weekend and plan it all out right... the zzp exhaust power logs and a tune is a good start. 👍 keep doing research and you can ask me anything else if you need help!
Good job man. I am gonna attempt a top swap on a 2002 Regal LS. I have a 89k L67 sitting in my engine stand. I might be getting in over my head. Would I have to get a pcm tune from ZZP? I am gonna have more questions soon. You really know your stuff
Thanks for watching 👍. Yes, to top swap your car, you will need a new tune on your pcm. And the lower intake manifold from a supercharged car. Zzp sells the kit or you can build your own. Let me know any questions you have. I made this youtube channel to help others.
SUBBED. Thanks man. I have the heads and the blower +intake off the L67 that is on my engine stand. Its a complete engine. I pulled from an 02 Regal GS. The fuel rails are bent to hell. The really hard part is gonna be tearing my L36 apart to topswap. Still gotta get all gaskets and stuff. What else would I need?
@Google Account the hardest part would be you need the balancer pulley off the supercharger car and the tension pulley. So you can route the supercharger belt.. then you need to cut your wire harness to tie in the boost bypass valve and the map sensor. Then re route the vacuum lines. After that it's just bolt the lower intake and supercharger on. Then a tune from zzp. Or custom with hp tuners.
@Google Account you could try to remove your entire wire harness and install one from a supercharged car. And the vacuum line just go into the manifold. After that your car would run. From ther you may need fuel injectors/ fuel pump rewire... but honestly, then your where I started and your weak point will be the transmission.
I wanna use as much factory stuff as I can for my top swap. 02 Regal LS. Turning it into a REGAL GS. No E85 no tiny pulley but I have a ZZP 3.5 pulley from my old park Ave ultra. I have an extra blower and intake also
Great video bro. I have an 02 that is gonna be interesting to say the very least. I put a new battery in about a month ago I was at the gas station and all the sudden it died I've got no spark. The motor cranks over does it start the way that the motor died makes me think it's a ground wire somewhere that's not grounding the motor
For sure, check grounds there's one on the transmission on drivers side, one on the pulley mount near the coils and one under the battery.... also maby check your getting fuel pressure make sure fuel pump is working?
Okay thank you brother is it cool if I check back with you and maybe bounce some troubleshooting on the know spark with ya I would really appreciate it
Hey brother I got it going believe it or not it was bad cables I shouldn't say cables that terminal connects up to the side of the battery because the side mounted battery. When I got it started I had a huge stalling problem about the get-go push on the brake and never happened before it stalls the car had it you know pedal it to get it to keep running yesterday I went down into the garage and started it up and it was rough starting it up I pushed on the brake pedal and the motor died now it won't start again unbelievable I don't know if it's the master cylinder or the boost I do have some vacuum leaks as well it's really frustrating when it just doesn't start...
Clarify I was when I said boost I meant the brake booster not the boost on the supercharger. When was running and I drove it for a minute I noticed a vacuum leak underneath the belt side of the supercharger the T. It was doing a little bit of surging few months ago it does need a brake job I'm doing that next but man do I unplug the battery again and let it sit
Great info! Subscribed now. Looking at using a complete donor engine/trans in a different project. Building the trans to take abuse too. I’d love to chat with you more
Thanks for subscribing. Im always here if you have questions and i enjoy hearing about everyones's project. I dont really use any social media other than TH-cam. But I'll always respond on my videos. I have had some personal stuff goin on havnt had time to make videos the last few months, but I am working on it soon
The hardest part is convincing yourself you can. Once you tell yourself you can do this, its easy. And there's lots of help out there and other videos. Just take your time
A turbo will give you a lot more power than you could make with a supercharger. But it costs more.. to install a turbo, all you need is to pipe it to the exhaust and intake then run an oil line from the oil pan to the turbo. After that it's alot harder to tune. But when you make more power, you will need a new transmission like I did
Making it sound more difficult to top swap by cutting into the harness. I may find a factory L67 Regal harness or GTP Grand Prix from 98 thru 03??? Could that work too???
@thalegacy6 it's behind the supercharger. There are 2 sensors one is for barometric dosnet connect to anything but the wire harness..., the MAP sensor connects to the vacuum line that runs to the left side of the intake manifold
So if my harness that clips into the ignition module is burnt and corroded I should change the whole harness and module? Not just one or the other right
By far the best 3800 wiring harness video I've ever seen! 😯

Swapping heads and intake I could 90 percent do. But the rest is Very Daunting

Is a top swap worth it or just go turbo??

@Google Account yes that would work. You could try junk yards to find the wire harness fues box and pcm. Would be easy and cheapest.
I have a cheap top swap for sale
@@daviesdan18 thanks for the info cant wait for the next video
Hey, can you tell me what size clear hose you used for your intercooler?
3/4 inch inner diameter
Thank you!
What does the map sensor connect to on an 06 grand prix gt? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I probably would change both
There's no way you did the entire wiring without failing....
It was easy. All the connections are different and once you lay it out and start it on one side they fall into place
It's not that difficult. Everything has individual plugs and it falls in place like he said.
I don't know man...I guess I am dumb
Listen to this man! Doesn’t sound like he failed! Well explained- I definitely subscribed!
Go buy a real muscle car
