Stables Regeneration Phase 1: April 2024 Update Part 2 |

For the second part of our April update we take a look at some of the architectural features at the Stables that will take centre stage once the current phase of works is completed.
When we've finished the current programme of work, the courtyard between the Stables and the Riding School, hidden for over 70 years, will be restored and eventually, open to the public. It'll be a beautiful space and we can't wait to see it!

It certainly is. The current work is creating a legacy that will help the House survive and providing opportunities for young people to train in heritage skills.

I am losing interest as I see many modern intrusions as metallic doors and so on.
The first thing that let me down was the new modern "cabin" by the Camellia House

Please don't loose interest. The metal door that you mentioned is just a temporary one until the original Georgian door has been repaired. This will be replaced when repairs have been completed.
The cabin at the Camellia House is a new Changing Places toilet providing facilities for visitors with complex needs. It's a modern structure with a modern purpose.
