As someone who used to teach students in the riding school when it was a sports hall and also in the the science labs in the other parts of the building I am amazed at the work being undertaken. It’s a remarkable project. Thanks for all the videos

What happened to the Old Kitchens??

Excellent progress, hope plenty of soundproofing is included in the event space, as have sadly heard many complaints about the noise in the large café in the garden centre with noise bouncing off the ceiling.🙂

How sad it isn’t being restored to its original use as stables. Another grand building butchered for tourism and profit.

I hope the cafe is tastefully done. Some stately homes have really cheap and nasty cafes with matching food. Loving the work you are doing.

Far more important to work on the structure than individual elements like the wallpaper of this green dining room. I visited the house last Summer. Surely it would be more cost efficient to commission a copy!

Good video - reminded me to clean my house plant leaves! Mine are floor to ceiling & my way is put them on the front drive &, with a watering can from the upstairs rooms window, give them a good soaking. Seriously, once done & back in the house, the air smells so clean & fresh!

When is it due to be finished?

The original of the full length Antinous at Wentworth Woodhouse (the Capitoline Antinous) is no longer considered to be an Antinous at all. from Wikipedia: "In part due to its hair being unlike that in better-attested Antinous-types, which closely follow a very few iconographic models, it is now considered to be a Roman Imperial era copy of an early 4th century BC Greek statue of Hermes. Such a change of identification was already underway before 1900 . . ."

I wish the black pollution could be taken off. Then we could see the house as it was meant to be. The black must be corrosive from sulphur too, I think.

Such an awful shame the black coal patina is considered a desirable thing. With so many repairs and replacements made to the stone facade why not give up the black and make it all shine again. Restore it back to the glory days of its beginning.

No statue on top of the column? Why not?

Very interesting to learn more about the grounds of the estate. There is a similar column in Canada near Niagara-on-the-Lake, Brock's Monument which soars the equivalent height of a 20-storey building.

Starting out life in the late 1950,s and a career in Architecture and Building . Offered to study with David E. Nye and partners who were architects to the S.P.A.B . and the Church of England Southern section .I was taught to draft and study construction of old historic buildings. See this reminds me of those enjoyable times. Thank you for posting.
