- Owning an internationally important site such as Wentworth Woodhouse comes with significant responsibilities. These include a legal duty to conserve, repair and maintain the many structures on the site.
This video looks at some of the conservation and regeneration activities that have been undertaken since the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust acquired the site in 2017.
We're on an amazing journey to regenerate this historic place and to use it as a catalyst for positive change across the South Yorkshire region.

Truly amazing and epic amount of work already done, can’t wait to see more of what the future will bring , thank you all so much for all the hard work you have all put in .🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much! We have various new projects starting up over the coming year and we'll be sure to bring you the inside stories on this channel.
Amazing.
Thank you.
Our pleasure!
Wonderful. All of it!
This is all so amazingly good. I'm really looking forward to visiting.
Thank you for watching, we look forward to welcoming you!
Absolutely amazing. Surely you are putting together a television programme about the restoration for people to see who don’t have TH-cam, I’m sure it would make great viewing, and maybe more revenue. Thanks Wentworth wood House.
Watch out on the BBC this autumn :-)
I am overjoyed that you're up and running with the exciting, mammoth task of the rebirth of this globally important, planet~sized palace.
With a bit of luck and a following wind, you'll soon have persuaded some giant multinational media company to commission a twelve~part TV series so that the glories of the house and grounds can be shared by millions. The fees of course will help too; the higher, the better.
"Why Mr. Mogul, wherelse can you see and film where every penny you've given actually goes?"
Worth a go, I'd say!
Just a little concern arises. Yes, cars parked where carriages once were has a nice symmetry to it.
However, it has restricted the 'saleability' of any square footage of space you may want and need to rent in every one of the buildings surrounding the stableyard.
Disabled access as close as poss. of course. But the other cars should be tucked around the corner out of sight but still near at hand, if I may suggest.
More power to your collective elbows and thank you for these video reports thus far.
Thanks! We're working on this. There should be a BBC documentary aired in the late summer about some of the work we've been doing. We'll have to keep pushing for that 12-part TV series :-)
Amazing work and effort!
Glad you think so! Thank you.
£7.6 million is a good start, however a building as massive as this will need at a guess well over £30 million to return to anywhere near original state. I’m sure they will get there eventually now that a serious start has been made.
Thank you. The final figure could be well in excess of £30m.
This has to be one of the very best videos, if not The Best, to date. Comprehensive, superior quality production values, wide-ranging topics, and fascinating insights too. 🙌
Thank you... glad you enjoyed the video!
