Is this truck worth it? I’ve been a lifelong Chevy guy but I’ve just heard bad things about this truck. Can’t seem to find anyone w 100k+ miles that hasn’t had transmission problems. Im either torn between this truck or a Tundra because although I’m a chevy guy I do want reliability as well
We have a 2018 silverado v6 with 6 speed transmission it’s been 3 times in the mechanic for transmission overheating and still is after all that but at least to fix this issue you’ll need to remove the thermostat for the transmission fluid to keep it around 130 mine went up to 250 degrees…great looking truck but like I say every new vehicle will have problems don’t matter if it’s new
i just passed 80,000 miles, thermostat and starter replaced. kinda clunky shifts randomly since new. nothing else to complain about so far. my 2011 sierra 5.3l had the same trans in it but it always shifted smoother. I think theyre worth it bc they hold value and if you dont like it you can trade it in and it barely depreciates compared to cars.
I have a question my Chevy silverado 2018 ltz z71 only drive to 99 milles per hour
Some are governor resticted i think but not sure why, might be the tire package it came with or maybe the transmission i have the 6 speed auto in mine
@@MoochLife yeap i have 6 speed and normal tires i call my mecánic and he said is the governor restricted

Not at your warranty up you could probably go get a Bully Dog tuner knock about 2 seconds on that 0 to 60 off

I just picked up a dragy. Super awesome tool. With a custom 91 tune on a diablosport i3, 33s and 3 " level, exhaust and intake, is right at 7.24 and 7.30s. 0-60. So basically a bit better then stock. I have to post the videos soon.
