    I have just traded in my Giulietta QV for a Giulia veloce, at first I missed the exhaust note the Giulietta QV made, then you look at the difference in the cars, the Giulia is alot more refined, it's not in your face loud, I find it a lovely place to be then you put your foot down and then you get a huge smile, it's a cracking car, I love mine, and god its quick.

    A stock Ti here in the States will do 60 in 5.1 sec. My Q4 with a $300 piggyback runs 4.4 to 60 with no fuss, which is damn close to QV real world numbers. The QV has the sound and fear factor, but is leagues more expensive to buy and run. Used Tis offering reliable Ferrari engineering for less than 30 grand are an unbeatable enthusiast bargain.

    • @23Piccolina
      @23Piccolina 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      You are correct. For some reason the 2019 models can get to 60 in 4.7 sec. The published time of 5.1 is conservative. It depends on the tires they come with. The stickier tires launch the car a bit faster. These are great cars.

    Celtic tuning remap plus exhaust filter upgrade and race mode added and you're up to 350 bhp and low 4's 0 to 60. Map off the limiter and you're up to very very fast top speed too.

    I have a 2017 base Giulia, which has the 280 bhp motor in the US. I love it. I tried an aftermarket exhaust but I did not like the tone. Bottom line, it costs a hell of a lot more to get the Quadrafoglio and the 4 cylinder is quick enough for me, old fart that I am.

    280 is more than enough on UK roads and hopefully will keep you licence too. The look is amazing, something the Germans will be jealous of. It’s not all about outright speed, handling means a lot more, it’s probably why the Golf Gti is still popular too.

    The Veloce is a sensible man's QV, running cost is sensible considering that the speed limit is 20 to 70 mph in the UK and if you reside in London then you will never use the QV up to its potentials stuck in traffic. 280 bhp is more than enough power for the average driver plus the prospect of tuning it and resonate deletes can transform the Veloce. I tried to trick my wife into getting it as our second car two years ago with no joy. Thanks Stef for bring it back to my consciousness.

    Hi mate it’s Gary from south beach recycling on insta. So I got a veloce after my abarth comp. I’ve got used to the sound after a few months. It’s so much more comfortable as well. Sometimes it doesn’t feel as fast on the motorway it’s just more capable, but where I live in the country on the twistys, it’s phenomenal. I recommend it. I wish I could have had both but this is a fantastic car, and a gateway drug for the qv. So in short I did the upgrade, I adore the car, the only thing I miss is the sunroof and that can be sorted next order

    I don't think that the Giulia Veloce is the same kind of car as an Abarth. Different category, different size, different use. I might buy a Giulia Veloce one day, but not as an upgrade of my Abarth.

    That's precisely the car I was looking to lease 2 years ago, but with all the options I wanted, it was way too expensive. Great content Stef, thanks for posting. We're looking at having to stay home here in the states for awhile. So your videos are a huge help! Looking my back I should've kept my Guilia Ti Q4 AWD. Exactly right, the lack of a nicer exhaust note was my biggest problem with it. But it was fast enough. The Quad is great but the model I had the rear seats wouldn't go down I guess they've added that now. AWD on the Quad would've been perfect. Now looking at an 2019 AWD Maserati Ghibli SQ4, not sure yet though.
    Also the big issue is depreciation on these cars, so if you buy new plan to keep it or buy second-hand.😲

    So I should buy a luxury sedan and then turn it into a Honda Civic like the 16 year olds?! 👍 This is a car that’s supposed to exude class and status while providing a sporty feel. Don’t turn this car into a fast n furious prop.
