Andrea, I'm glad that you are feeling better and got your voice back. I hope through it all, you had a great visit with your family in Romania. You are such a brilliant designer - everything you design is so beautiful, and your capelets- WOW! Just amazing!
Your capelet is beautiful! It looks like it sits on your shoulders very nicely - much better than a triangular shape one. I look forward to your pattern! As I watch this vlog, I am stitching together the squares from Arunima’s 2023 CAL. My next project will be your spore print sweater, but I hope to leapfrog that with Arunima’s 2024 CAL. We are SO blessed to have such talented Tunisian designers!! Thank you for your designs and your inspiration! ❤️❤️
That's awesome, Audrey! I hope to see updates on these projects in the groups. I'm also going to make at least one hexagon or two. I want to make at least a cushion's worth and I have the perfect yarn for it.
Glad that despite not feeling well, you managed to keep busy. Can't wait for the new capelet to come out for testing and purchasing! It is gorgeous!!! Your filet patterns are so beautiful! I saw a picture of Arunima's bkanket for next year and it is stunning!!!
Pleased you are feeling better now. You have still produced a lot of lovely work in that time, the capelet is especially delightful. I'm looking forward to making it as it's exactly the shape I like best. But I may be distracted by those hexagons for a while first, I do really like TITR. I struggled with doing lace or stranded colourwork in knitting, so the patterns that I can easily achieve in Tunisian make my heart sing with joy.
Thank you so much, Wendy! Yes, we can use Tunisian for a lot of things that are a little more difficult in knitting. I'm glad we're on the same page here. I completely understand going for the hexagons first, a good few of them will be out before this capelet pattern is ready.
Oh my goodness what lovely pieces and patterns you have done! I really love the capelet and the shawl with the leaves: I signed up for your newsletter so I don't miss the release of them! Those Romanian embroidery inspired pieces also look fantastic. I am so glad you are talking about Arunima and her Ipsa blanket: when I saw it my jaw dropped. As you say: that blanket will be an heirloom. It's such an amazing pattern and I look forward to making it. Right now I am crocheting Arunimas Tunisian mosaic Ira shawl, for the second time. I loved my first one so much, that I just want to make more. On my blocking mats there are the two panels of the Mou Leipeis poncho from Expression Fiber Arts (pattern designer is Patricia Liefeld).
Thank you so much! I hope you get good value out of the email subscription. Hm, maybe I should mention what folks will get when they sign up. Thank you also for sharing about your WIPs. I'd never seen that poncho, looks very nice. The Ira shawl is lovely and I'm glad you're enjoying mosaic, it's a lot of fun.
It’s such a wonderful treat to see all the beautiful things you create! Thank you for sharing all of these inspirations 🧶❤️
Thank you, Leslie!

Thank you, Dara! We had fun too, before it got too bad, picked some mushrooms, saw some friends.

Thank you! One at a time, right? The first time I saw one of the hexagons, my jaw dropped. Then to find out there were 29 more...

The peach top is so cute! I look forward to it!
Thanks! It's getting graded and then tested soon.
The capelet is gorgeous! I can’t wait for the pattern to come out so I can make it!
Thank you! That will be soon, as it's easy to write up, but we'll see how long testing takes.
Me too!!
