"Don't make porn of our characters" said the DOA and Bioshock Infinite devs. And with the fury of a thousand suns, 4chan ascends from a fissure in the earth, rising from their hell of debauchery and shit posting to gently whisper "no."
You'd almost be better off telling people to, then they won't see any fun in it. Okay not as much. And your company would look like a bunch of creepos. Just better not to say anything.
There's multiple 4chan boards dedicated to making stuff like that. /3/, /i/, /ic/, then all the boards that have draw threads like /v/, /b/, etc. THEN the porn boards, of which there are _many_ . 4chan is basically a Rule 34 factory, hence why the term took off as a meme there first.
the amount of elizabeth porn floating around and being made to this DAY is downright filthy, they unleashed a white murky flood upon the earth
That chart just reminded me to go back to KOF 14 with its 50 characters on launch including a large percentage of new characters. A full package.
That DLC price could get you a deluxe edition of DMC 5, even cheaper
Shoulda called this one "Castle Super Breast Clips".
Pat looks great
Woolie has doomed us all with his Victoria’s Secret idea.
Next week’s news: Woolie hired as EA’s head of marketing
OOOOOOH NOOOOOOOO!!!
Alternatively, they could do worse though.
Giving Woolie the power to blast every tv screen and social media network with hype for a potential Titanfall 3 would be a positive change in the world
Patrick Wilde “...and then you look across the mall to see BT looking around for you, lost and confused. You go over and BT sees you and jumps in an cliche anime way shouting, ‘Th-there you are, Pilot!’ You go to the Victoria’s Secret, the MRVN attendant greets you and wall run over Titan-sized bikinis and outfits...”
Add in when you decide to not buy a Bikini, the character gives you a guilt ridden sad puppy face.
EA walks up with a jet pack
Woolie: What’s this?
EA: Your signing bonus
Okay, now THIS shit goes against my core values.
Tbvff, chargin Godamn 93$ US dollars on a season pass is enough to rustle anyones Jimmies, mine are runnin all over the fuckin place and i dont even play DOA
“Lobby Matches” that one got me
You know what the worst part about this is? I guarantee at least 100 people have already bought it unironically.
I mean yeah, they're called Whales, and this is basically taking advantage of that. So it's up to you who you feel is worse, the people for acting this way or the company for expecting and taking advantage of it.
@@ShyRanger I mean the company wouldn't do it at all if no one is buying it right?
Ill do what i did for 5 get the gane crack it after the updates come out
I mean legitimately purchase dlc i swear
u cant buy something ironically but yeah its a shame
No, don't be silly.
100 people is too low
WAY too low
Like Pat, I too wanna respect DOA as a fighting game, while enjoying the Core Values of the game, but this is so slimy I could make a water slide out of this shit.
I was considering getting the game, as it's a decent fighting game with anime girls with tig bitties. What's not to love about that. But this, this ruined it for me
I mean, BlazBlue used to release every year, sell 3 characters as DLC, then come up with next full priced version with those 3 included in base roster and selling 3 new DLC characters? Did that turn you off too?
@@bennymountain1 Not really. I mean, those were characters that gave you substance. Plus everyone knows to wait a year at least to buy an updated version of a fighting game to get the new characters bundled in. And those DLC didn't cost almost $100.
@@TAMAMO-VIRUS well, it's just cosmetics AND core fighters (free version) is out. In the future, I'm sure they'll sell it at a much lower price for the base roster. DOA5 lived through that.
What's frustrating about all this discussion of the $93 Season Pass is that NO ONE complaining about it knows how bad it ACTUALLY is! It's WAY WORSE than you think. Look, I'm a guy who legitimately feels DOA5 had the best handled DLC in the history of videogames and will defend it to my grave, but DOA6 is indefensible. This isn't "Oh here we go again", this is waaay worse.
For starters, DOA6 was ANNOUNCED as a rushed piece of shit. At E3 they said the game was 5% complete and coming in early Spring. This means DOA6 was thrown together in less than a year. The game is missing HUGE chunks of content compared to VANILLA DOA5 with the same amount of characters, LESS stages, waaay less costumes, no tag mode so no co-op or 4-player, no lobbies at launch, only one win pose at launch, more input lag, and the worst costume unlock system ever (though they have fixed that somewhat). They did not "divert dollars for lobbies for Marie Rose costumes", she barely has any costumes and there are no lobbies because the game is unfinished and thrown together in less than a year.
Now, as for the $93 Season Pass? DOA5 had those too, but you got twice as much content. With DOA5 you paid $93 for 100 costumes and sometimes a character. With DOA6 we're paying $93 for 62 costumes or something and two characters, one of which was copy/pasted from the last game.
BUT IT GETS WORSE!
The "Season Pass Exclusive Costumes"? Okay one of them is just NiCO's default but with a scouter. The other? Nyotengu's? That SHOULD have been her Digital Deluxe costume! There's a set of Digital Deluxe exclusive costumes for DOA6 (the shit Shimbori was showing off at EVO Japan) which are all wrestling themed. Nyotengu doesn't have a costume in that set but OH LOOK AT THAT! Nyotengu's Season Pass Exclusive costume is a wrestling outfit! HOW ABOUT THAT! Oh and most of those Digital Deluxe costumes are just recolored DOA5 DLC costumes. Oh by the way they're also the only way to restore some characters proper proportions.
Oh and Nyotengu is a preorder bonus and Phase-4 is a Digital Deluxe exclusive even though they were in the last game AND are part of Story Mode. Shoot you can even play AS Nyotengu in Story Mode but you can't use her elsewhere until you buy her! Also Nyotengu and Phase-4 were revealed as exclusive DLCs when the game was only 15% complete.
Look, I defend DOA5 because it actually did a lot right. See, the only reason DOA5 Ultimate exists and you had to download all those Costume Catalogues was because the 360's patching system is a POS. Patches are stored in the system CACHE meaning you have very limited space and patches get deleted and replaced as you patch other games. It's REALLY bad. Because of this, they didn't have the "hooks" to update DOA5 on 360. With Ultimate they added the "hooks" by storing major updates inside the Costume Catalogues on 360. Every one of those you downloaded added new stages, characters, and moves among other things. The PS3 version just updates normally. The PS3 version also has a well organized and easy to navigate storefront. DOA5 Ultimate is also the one that let you buy costumes individually for $2 apiece. Also, all DLC downloaded for DOA5 vanilla carries over into DOA5 Ultimate.
To promote the Arcade version of DOA5, they added new characters and every time a new character was released in arcades, the previous new character came home as DLC. They did this 3 times before it was time for Last Round.
Last Round pretty much only exists because the new generation of consoles had arrived. In fact, DOA5 Ultimate automatically updated to DOA5 Last Round on PS3 and 360! However, they had actually reached a DLC limit on PS3/360 and couldn't support that version after the release of the first new DLC character for Last Round: Naotora Ii. However, all DLC bought on PS3/360 for DOA5 Ultimate carried over into Last Round on PS4/XBone and any new PS4 DLC I bought also worked on my PS3 version until the cut off date.
Also there IS a Free To Play version of DOA5 Ultimate/Last Round and there's gonna be one for DOA6.
Also in both Ultimate and Last Round we got frequent balance patches and free stages.
Now, it was with Last Round that the $93 Season Passes started and yeah it was literally all the costumes released that Season. They started doing monthly costume packs. On top of that, they ALSO did fan costume design contests. The default new costumes for Last Round were all fan designed (along with the hairstyles) and then every May they held a Halloween costume design contest, which I thought was neat.
Look, dropping $2 every now and then on a new outfit for my girl Lisa was fine and I loved seeing all the new outfits they came out with. Especially since it brought with it more balance tweaks and stage additions than any other fighter of the time. I honestly still feel DOA5 did SF5 better.
But DOA6 is a problem. It's half-assed and makes no attempt to make up for all the DLC we lose with this "upgrade". In fact, it's so barely an upgrade that it renders itself utterly pointless. I made a GameFly account just so I could rent DOA6, play through Story Mode (because yes I do care), drop a review, and go back to DOA5. MAYBE I'll buy Lisa and a cute outfit for DOA6 Core Fighters just to keep up with the series, but in general? Fuck this game. Call me when DOA6 Ultimate comes out or when you realize you fucked up and start over with DOA7 and if that never happens and the series ends right now? I'm perfectly fine sticking with DOA5. DOA5 respected my Creepo Dollars, DOA6 does not and thus will not be getting my Creepo Dollars. This whale is out.
Sadly though? I still prefer this over loot boxes. I am NEVER playing Overwatch.
Good on you for typing out something weightier than "lol, weeb whales", and voting with your Creepo Dollars. As a carpetbagger who only played 5 for the VF characters, I'm nowhere near invested in DOA to defend "the brand", and I'm OK with watching DOA6 get pilloried. But I've always felt like the original 5 and Ultimate were pretty restrained, and that Team Ninja cleaned up their act, at the time - and so did a lot of people who covered it, at the time. But then interest died down, and even as a more respectable game, people weren't embracing it as much as they said they could. Saying that a game's more respectable than its predecessors, or that "you really want to respect the brand" doesn't mean much if you're not even going to touch the thing afterwards. I honestly feel like Koei Tecmo just gave up on that idle talk after Ultimate, and went with whatever they thought the remaining players might be into during Last Round's time in the sun. It's that sentiment that made me suspicious of all that talk about cleaning up their act with 6 - because they did that with 5, and they weren't very well rewarded for it - and, well, 6 turned out the way it did.
And props on the info about the 360's patching problems. I patched my copy of Ultimate up to Last Round after a hiatus from the game, and I didn't have the same experience as Woolie or Pat at all; I was wondering if I was going crazy or not.
You get an A+ on your essay
But seriously, DOA6 is a goddamn mess. It's time to let the whales go. Free Willy this bitch
@Nemesis King Negro Thank you SO MUCH for this info! Come to think of it, it DOES look a lot like DW9 and while I'd love to know the source of this info it does make a lot of sense. Also it reminds me of EA forcing BioWare to use the Frostbite engine for Mass Effect Andromeda.
It's a shame, I've traditionally loved KoeiTecmo as a company. I love Dynasty Warriors (skipped 9, bought Orochi 4) and thus far they had handled the studios they had bought pretty admirably. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come...then again, the graphics engine isn't the problem so much as the lack of content and rushed nature of the game. I wonder who forced the absurd deadline. I REALLY feel like they should have waited until next gen for DOA6.
Melee Rant next please I need to see the full armada rant again
God yes I love hearing Pat yell about melee
Is Armada the player who beat his wife or is he the broken controller dude
@@frosty6845 Dunno about the wife beating thing, but the broken controller was Leffen. Armada is the closest to a normal person you'll find in the Smash world.
@@frosty6845 Armada is the one that quit a tournament over not having the malfunctioning controller, yes
FrostyP Dude who quit a tournament because he left his backups in Sweden, where he is from.
"...All on the road to more worse." Apt.
Pat's point about value is so hugely important. He's touched on something vital to the problem with the current games industry: the people at the top don't understand the business they're in, and are mechanically sacrificing value for profit as the only job they can think to do. Value needs to be re-elevated to the primary purpose of these TOY manufacturers.
Damn! The amount of money they are charging for DLC costumes is ridiculous. I could go to a legal brothel in Las Vegas for way less and be with a real woman.
but you couldn't fight her!
@@CelioHogane In that case, I retract my previous statement.
yeah but the DoA girls wont give you an STD
@@lpenrike That is because the DoA girls won't be able to give you anything to you. At least not anything you could get for free on the internet.
Joe Malachiwsy
Brothers are fucking legal?! Since when?!
Remember when you'd buy a game and have to wait for its sequel for new content?
"Excuse me I have to go empty my bladder" cut to Pat yelling "I HATE IT!!!"
i did the math, and this season pass is actually worth the price for what you get in it, based on number of costumes and characters, with past doa dlc taken into account, and some simple math. i found that every single costume(including 5 costumes per dlc character)would be 1.25 per costume. that would leave the 2 dlc characters at a wopping 1.50 per character. so it is worth the price for what you get, but not alot of people would want over 70 costumes for characters they wont play, so thats why this is dumb, not the pricetag itself
Literally what woolie described is a thing in China and Japan i think its called virtual or stream girlfriend.
"Please don't make porn of my daughter character," *Shadman awakens*
Also a Reminder that the previous game's DLC all-together on Steam cost $1287.79 or so, maybe off by a dollar and some pennies.
DoA5's DLC is nearly $1300.
And that's not counting the base game.
That was for the free version of the game though, with 75 of those dollars being for the story and characters, which were already included if you bought the $45 base game. A lot of that dlc is redundant because they have packs and packs of packs which give you different discounts depending on how many items you want to buy.
And I'm guessing you don't play many free to play games? $1200 in cosmetic DLC is perfectly normal because they go for a "something for everyone" approach where they try to have at least one dlc costume for whatever your tastes are. No one expects you to buy all of it.
I would unironically play this Victoria’s Secret game
Imagine you buy the dlc in game, then a trophy pops up saying 'thanks sucker'.
Modern Fighting Game Fundamentals
1. Waifus
2. Footsies
3. DLC Lingerie Costumes
4. Tier Lists
21:20 I feel like this is Woolie's very personal recurring dream.
Like I love DoA as a fighting game even though I don't care for the creepo bits (Helena is based tho), but shit like this is part of why I just cannot take the series seriously anymore.
I'm with Pat; I want to respect Dead or Alive. But they're making it really hard for me to do so.
"I eagerlly await this week's Jimquisition"
Oh god poor Jim's weak heart is going to give out from his pure, blood vessel popping rage.
Maybe the positive vibrations from DMC5 will balance out the anger
Okay but the real sound clip everyone needed is Pat saying "get those creepo dollars".
Woolie's "DOA: Victoria's Secret shopping" game idea would make *SO* much money, like WAAAAY more than this game.
To let people know, even if you don't buy the DLC costumes if you download them the computer will use them, you should only buy costumes of characters you actually plan on using.
Some guys need their Nyotengu to literally be covered in bells, whistles and ribbons and NOTHING ELSE guys.
On an unrelated note, I need to see a man about some 3D models.
Jeez I thought 5 was bad with the season passes... guess I’ll be waiting a few *YEARS.* Sucks too because I was a big fan of the series (the fighting games anyway) back on the original Xbox back in the day.
I think Blade Wolf And Sam we’re paid when they first came out but they’re free now (at least on 360, and PC).
This is the exact same as DoA5's season passes. They were each $90 too. If anything people will be more annoyed as it goes on since this won't be the first one, there were about seven $90 passes for DoA5 (one removed since the Attack on Titan licensing expired/was lost making it six passes you can go get right now).
Lol, Koei Tecmo chasing that "Thank you for your generous Twitch donation" money.
M I L K E R S
I'm not ready for this new world of interacting with the chat.
18:45 - probably the most intelligent thing Pat's ever said about economics.
Can't believe Woolie is being such a big apologist for this XD
Lol woolie pop off that one
Actual hostess club economics from Koei Tecmo?
"hey, do you want to pay 100 dollars for a third of the DLC to a game that's going to end up being mostly DLC because it's a rushed hack job?"
".......no?"
"oh. we thought for sure that was a slamdunk sales pitch."
Creep master woolie, I fucking love it
"giant ass fucking milkers" - pat
Street Fighter V has over $165 of costume DLC on Steam, at a cost per costume 50% higher than DoA's Season Pass.
It's $130 AUD on the steam store, in case you were wondering
Of course I'll be an unpopular opinion here, but TL;DR this isn't nearly as scummy as everyone makes it out to be, though still scummy.
Features gone: I played day one and got everything I ever needed to play this game for a long time: Arcade, Story, Timed, and Survival Mode +DOA Quest (which actively has me use moves that are crucial in gameplay to be competent in order to progress) and Ranked Matches (which I have experienced nitpicky issues with at worst). As the average DOA fan (aka, a friendless fighting gamer), I do not care for lobby matches.
Overpriced DLC: The DLC, while scummy and an actual downgrade from 5's, is non-important to the main game and frankly isn't nearly as bad as randomized loot boxes, pay to win progression, or big fat monthly subscriptions to just play a game that still has you pay for the additional story sections.
Core Values: So tiddy is a bad thing, yet gratuitous face ripping gets a pass in MK11? Not just that, but WB actively replaces their own performers without formality, and puts in non-acting celebrities to go with their Shao Kahn locked behind a paywall. Enjoy it if you want, but that shit's fucked.
Yeah, I'll still gladly take DOA6, albeit disappointed in numerous scummy decisions it includes, over many other practices.
8:00 The “Slippery Slope Fallacy” is no longer a fallacy.
*IT ALWAYS HAPPENS*
each of the bonus stuff that you get in the DMCV Deluxe edition costs $2.99 individually, or only $10 more if you buy deluxe edition
They are literally saying that the game they made has less value than some cosmetics LOL
woolie single handed created a better way to spend money in microtransactions
I love Pat's flappy little arms at 10:51
I live for Pat screaming in the background.
If Enix is the Bethesda of Japan, Tecmo is the EA.
EA would put all those costumes into premium lootboxes. At least Tecmo makes you buy the costumes directly.
somehow, japan has more quality than U.S.A. even while being scummy.
As many complaints as I have about FF 15 and KH 3, both of those were significantly less buggy at launch then an average Bethesda game after its final Patch
I wanted to say Konami is the EA of Japan, then I realized Konami is in its own unattainable league of awful anti-consumer practices
Oh I am happy that DoA stuck with the skimpy outfits and jiggle physics. They didn't coward out with that. I would've bought it too... but this DLC pricing is just insane. I can't support that.
I Genuinely love doa, but holy shit is that unbelievably outrageous.
Did they talk about the evo line up in this podcast? I want to hear their opinion on it. I want to hear Pat praise mr wizard over no melee.
woolie its right there on the screen. Its not "literally 1000s of dollars in DLC", its "literally less than 1K in DLC". God damnit!
20:42 It is disgusting how smart this idea is. People would lose their fucking houses.
"The anger will be loud and swift" well not necessarily, there are a ton of social media pages dedicated to play Devil's Advocate and champion schemes like this and usually make grounds in getting people to pay and defend things like this
waifus are stronger than woolie could have ever known
Very fair, all Tecmo would really need to do is release an official Nude costumes and hide it behind the 93$ season pass and that'd be the easiest sale
I had heard that one of the influencing factors of the change back to a fan service focus after their initial attempt to clean up was that , in Japan, the same gen re-release of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 on PS4 and Switch had more pre-orders than the sooner upcoming Dead or Alive 6, which was, of course, a completely new release.
If true, that's significant. I'm of the opinion that Dead or Alive as a fighting game was always mediocre and that they should just focus on the Xtreme series while doubling down on the lewd, but that's just me.
I love the series but even I rolled my eyes when I saw all the DLC coming out for DoA5. I refuse to believe somebody bought all of it, people probably picked and chose a handful of costumes they wanted and that's it. Cue people replying that they bought everything obviously.
I bought everything, obviously.
Reminder that the DoA6 main costumes are like they are is because of ESPN and want to be shown on TV.
Also can the next clip be the Melee rant please?
I don't think this is that much different then other games with cosmetic DLC/micro transactions , it's just more upfront and honest about it. Also didn't Pat put like 200 dollars into Overwatch? At least this shit is guaranteed.
I think the actual egregious thing is locking Phase 4 to the deluxe edition which is an extra 20$
DoA 5 all DLC - 1432.75$
Train Simulator 2019 all DLC - 7799.78$
What if… we combined them?
I think DLC, microtransactions, and software patches are the death of quality videogames. Remember the days when developers would try to fit as much content as they could into a complete game? Now it seems like companies and developers try to take out as much as possible to be put in later.
Pat complaining about buying a hundred bucks worth of costumes and little else, after the fucking Warframe nonsense.
Yeah but Warframe is FREE. And the cosmetics aren't bundled together so that you have to buy them all at once if you want any of them.
Pat's talking some real shit. This is real talk.
20:40
Make Woolie’s idea also VR compatible.
Also I wish Nicole (Spartan 458) would be a character again.
I would love to buy all sorts of lingerie that just goes on top of the MJOLNIR Armor
Here's the weird thing about that bullshit season pass. It's 93 bucks over in the west, but on my end it's around 30 bucks if you convert my currency to murica dollars. it's still expensive but it doesn't outright rob me like that. I'm from the Philippines btw
That podcast clip title is egregious.
Actualy the reason why this went so south is because they just didn't know who they were selling this game to.
Long time fan? Well they toned down the sexy stuff in it so clearly not. New people? Well it looked like so but than they just back tracked. So no one realy knew who the target audiance was. And that continued until release.
This now is damage controll because the game is very much unprofiable (We need money fast!). Just by comperason the beach volleyball game has a biger player base (acording to Steam) just because it was clear who the target audiance was.
Im changing all of my user names to AHEGOD
Geez, this is why I waited for DOA5 LR to drop down in price. It's ridiculous how much DLC costumes they put into this series...
You don't need DLC fetish costumes to get the full experience. However I would wait for DOA6 Last Round for Switch myself.
the Goblins made Pat shut that door lol
I don't know where they pulled a 92 buck price tag from. So it's value is worth more than the game by over 50%? Excuse me, but there is no amount of cosmetics worth that cost. No one has made cosmetics worth it. I don't count on the DOA developers to be the one to sell me great cosmetics. I'd rather they just go full perv dirtbag and make a 92 dollar Kasumi costume that is basically just the 300th Challenge Tower Costume for Mileena in MK9 (yeah that one).
There is *actually* more dignity in that route.
The price comes from the costumes they sell for $2-3 price they have for individual characters, 2 different sets of costumes, for all 26 characters, as well as 2 new characters with the option for extra costumes for each of them.
It's pure "buy what you want. you don't need it all."
3:45 King crimson activates.
Can we all agree that mai shiranui looks better in DOA than it does in KOF? she is even more fun to play!!
Also Pat Jim Sterling would bitch about DoA6 over the “fan service” the series has.
Also he’s responsible for DoA Xtreme Beach 3 didn’t get a western release and called for a witch hunt against PlayAsia for daring to sell it to people. The developers didn’t name any names but all but said the reason was because “Western audiences didn’t like it”.
I don't think they should've called this the Season Pass, this is more like a Costume Pass or Complete Pass. Just buy the characters themselves, ignore the costumes that bump up that pass' price.
I agree and I am also pretty sure that's what they are gonna do anyway. Just selling everything separately. Thats what they did in DoA5: each costume was sold individually. they also had a expensive season pass to get them all at once.
TechmoKoei is the Activision of Japan, like just look at the state of the Samurai and Dynasty warriors series...
Ya know, you don't have to buy the season pass. If you want a costume, buy it for the fighter you play. Buy the characters separately.
The season pass is for the crazy people (like myself) who plays the game for thousands of hours and plays everyone in it. For the normal consumer, just pick and pop.
These aren't the Western season passes where to get a complete game, you need to buy it. Everything will be separate and optional.
Which Jimquisition are they talking about? The only applicable one I can think of is the preorder mess one that was recent, and there wasn't anything about DOA in that one.
Speaking of egregious, whats up with the 2 back to back ads during the ad break on youtube videos? I keep my adblocker disabled on youtube to support my subs, but having 2 ads during an ad break is crazy!
Yeah... I'll wait for free version.
*alienate your fanbase by appealing to the wrong people*
*realize the people you appealed to never really liked your game in the first place*
*do a desperate backtrack to recoup you losses*
*top it off with a 100$ season pack*
thats anthem levels of stupid
another franchise killed by koeitecmo
This was coming regardless of the reception of their slightly less lewd default costumes. Calling this a backpedal is too generous to Womega Force's greed as they have been THE worst in their DLC practices not only in DO6, but also DOA 5 and every Dynasty Warriors game since 7 as well.
Any publicity is good publicity when it comes to titties. This kind of publicity and "Core Values" debacle have secured their revenue stream for next 6 years and $3000 worth of bikini and cosplay.
Look, I ain't no SJW, but I wouldn't uninstall this game if I didn't fight 10 (I shit you not) Marie Roses and Nico's wearing swimsuits in a row.
The Season Pass is a good deal if you want ALL of the costumes. They'll be sold separately later. It adds 60+ costumes along with the two characters (that's roughly triple of what's in the game already, I believe?). The only thing people are harping on is the price, it seems. Like, yea it's expensive but that's a crapload of costumes along with some characters. If you want costumes just for your main character/s then it'll be 10x cheaper. As of right now that's just over $1 for each costume. It's not nearly as egregious as people think it is.
The season pass you don't get all the costumes it says season pass 1 and that means there will be season pass 2 . and wasn't the hole point of having season pass to bundle all the content to the game with a reduce costs
I miss when Koei just made good Dynasty Warriors games, Kessen, Romance of the 3 Kingdoms, and occasionally some weird but good Strategy JRPG about the Journey to the West.
......I really Miss Kessen, Kessen 2 was my jam.
Why has no one made games similar to Kessen?
I'd be fine if the costumes were like 50 cents at most and let you choose them individually (which they might do already. wouldnt know). I can see value in making a shit ton of costumes to appeal to literally any taste and let each team in the game be truly your own and express who you are. Id rather have the unlock method which will never come back unfortunately. As long as the dlc costume department doesnt intrude on the gameplay department ie. fire coders for designers.
People want to spend $100 for costumes. Let them. They know the waifu fanbase they have, and they know they can make so much money out of it
I'm not surprised at all that there is essentially a100 dollar DLC cosmetic pack. This being thought of as a good idea just goes to show that Tig O biddies will always sell. Besides; who doesn't want to waste money on anime honkers?
As a Koei fan, fuck Tecmo-Koei. I'm glad that The Creative Assembly has made Total War: 3 Kingdoms, and hopefully other companies will move in on their turf so they actually put some damn effort in their games, rather than ripping off people with their half-assed games.
Core values are expensive.
The costumes in the game that drop aren't buysble with money and the season pass content buyable seperately soon enough for chars and the two or three costumes you care about.
If you do the math DOA costumes are actually wayyyyy cheaper than a SFV costume too, like 1.50 usd per costume.
Also people they have makin costumes aren't the people making lobbies lol
This is egregious, BUT what's more egregious is that there is DLC that will come out during the season that ISN'T included in the Season Pass.
Looks like I dodged another bullet in the fighting game department. first capcom and now tecmo. smh
I’ve always liked the idea of a game coming out incomplete but free, and the collective DLC is just over the price of an average game at the time of release. As DLC is added the purchase price would be a percentage based on what you’ve already paid and what extra DLC has come out. This way you never feel like your missing out or overpaying, you still paid 60 bucks for a full game that normally would cost 75 or 80, but you got what you wanted without buying the things you could care less about like character skins or multiplayer.... saving you 10 bucks or so. Honestly I hate DLC but if it’s going to be pushed, it should be pushed in a way that benefits the players.
Glad this game came for free with my Qanba Obsidian because I wouldn’t pay for this otherwise
You really can’t blame them if suckers are paying for it.
Jetstream Sam and Bladewolf were payer dlc but then became free on console too. Except in japan. Suck it.
