I just got my Polar H10 and I am looking forward. Prior to this I had a Giant HRM which worked so perfect. Then I December 2022, I upgraded to a Wahoo TickrX. The Wahoo worked 99% of the time but very unreliable. I have had 5 road bike races since the beginning of this year. In 2 of those races, the HRM failed to match the intensity of the work compared to my power meter. On a 10km hill climb with over 1900m, my beats per minutes were less than 120 BPM. Usually, this would have been 163 - 177 BPM. I was also using it for my morning fast group rides and in most cases, it has been failing me, with beats ranging from 43 - 95. It is a let down
I have a spin bike that has a wahoo cadence Bluetooth. So I go through the wahoo app to see my cadence etc . . If I get the Polar 10 will it be able to connect to the wahoo app so that it’s reflecting the wahoo cadence and the Polar heart rate all from within the wahoo app? Or because I am in the wahoo app all Bluetooth devices need to be wahoo to operate in it?
I have a Polar FT7 watch and 3 polar chest sensors but noticed unpairing occurs occasionally. Im a hiker/walker so my wrist is lower than a runners wrist. I rotate the watch so its under my wrist and closer to the chest sensor. So far no unpairing but haven't had much time with this change. Hopefully it'll fix it.
I am wanting a monitor that I can set to a range of heart beats and it will alarm me when I’m not in that heart range? Any suggestions or anything that will do that?
I have been looking for a basic stand alone heart rate monitor that does not need to be paired to another device that I can turn on when exercising and off when not. I am not interested in a device that tells me how many steps, how much I've eaten or how much sleep I've had, and does not need the internet. How hard can that be?
Which of these (or others) has a vibration alert when a pre determined pulse number is exceeded or gone below? My older Mio Fuse does this very well (I have 12 of them).....but they are all old and the batteries are going fast.
