Thank you for posting this. I am 60+ year old Englishman. As i enter the autumn of my life I can think of no bigger regret than i did not serve with any of the Guards/Household cavalry or any of the other great regiments like RTR, RM's or any of the other great British services that would have had me in 1978-82 (if any)!
It is the greatest service we can do as young men. I appreciate all the men of my age (now older) who gave their youths for such a noble calling.I knew many who served in the Falklands from my year. Much better than a career in the financial services and I hope they are respected on this point.

Golly. I think it was 1979 when there were still three Tank Bands, I did that parade. Combined Alamein and Cambrai RTR Bands.

I remember there being cars on the middle of the road mid parade last year. Right at this point 0:12.

Great Video! , does the Tank Regiment remembrance Parade always occur on the same date? And have you got the date of when it happens?

Nov 20th is Regimental Day celebrating Battle of Cambrai (1917) when Tanks were first used in Battle ( as The Tank Corp )

You were nearly RIGHT. it was the Household Division band, or part of it. Look at the different plumes. If it was the Grenadier Guards band it would have been white plumes on the left of their Bearskins. A good show anyway.

This was indeed The Band of the Grenadier Guards with a few helping members of the Band of the Coldstream Guards as the rest of the band are currently in Japan on tour and a covering Director of Music from The Band of the Welsh Guards as I mention in the description. This does not mean it’s still The Band of the Grenadier Guards.

@@MilitaryBandsEverywhere so it's a part of the massed bands then!

A part of a “massed band of the household Divison” would be just one of the five foot guards bands, in this case it is The Band of the Grenadier Guards. However they are all their own individual unit so would only be called a massed band when all 5 bands are together creating a 250 strong ensemble!

@@MilitaryBandsEverywhere I only served in the Grenadier Guards for 18 years so I dont really know what I am talking about sorry. The footage that you have shown clearly shows an Irish Guards Drum Major, a Welsh Guards DoM. A Coldstream Guard, cant tell about the Grenadiers as you cannot see their plumes neither the Scots Guards but, as we know you will not see a plume in the Scots Guards bearskins as they do not wear one. Thanks for correcting me and I appreciate your vast knowledge of the massed bands of the Household Division!
