He said "Hasent been opened since 1954..." lmao bro this pack was opened searched sold searched again resold probably 5 time until every card was trash! Poor guy
Man oh man hard to watch. Sleeve before putting in plastic ultra… and there’s no way this pack wasn’t searched. W/o a PSA 10 year or Sg/BGS or whatever perfect grade, DO NOT INVEST
So reckless he doesn't need to be ripping expensive packs cause after he handles them and throws them down and shoves them into the card saver without sleeves. Just plan out RECKLESS
an experienced collector can tell if wax pack has been compromised. wax pack is like a fingerprint. now i wouldn't trust GAI grading cuz they are shady dealings in past.
So so Reckless shoving those cards into the worst card savers and without any sleeves at that, whoever pain into that break deserves a 50% discount on the buy in cause that was so RECKLESS. HURTS TO WATCH
Great looking cards but realize that most packs have already been gone through and resealed. It is just WAY too easy to do with the wax and the rewards are too high. Live and learn.
Depends on the time frame when graded. There are many early graded packs that are good. The older label looks like it was during the more than likely legitimate era. Thise cards look crisp too. Definitely 8's, some 9's and maybe a 10 in that pack
I say you're NUTS if the unopened 1954 Bowman wax pack was graded by Beckett 7.5 why OPEN it to begin with for just more money and you didn't even have any big dogs in the pack at all !!! I wouldn't have opened it !!!
Cringed the entire time you were cutting that open. Holding the cards with your finger prints. Never showed the condition of the back. Please take this as constructive criticism for next break.
My father had thousands of baseball cards from the 50s and 60s and gave them all away to his neighbor. My grandfather traded 5 acres of property for a boat that he later sold for $250.. I come from a long line of financial losers.
Really dude!!! U know better than that. Please get your prints off the cards. Pull the cards with a open hand. Gripping them on the side. This way is even better than the One Touch. And I would like to say Congratulations!!! This is something that people will always purchase from you!!! Your gonna sell out every time!!! Nice!!!
Your handling of the cards as you put them in the card savers is embarrassing - you actually whip the plastic on card #2! It is easy to prevent this - put the cards in penny sleeves and cut one of the edges of the card saver for easy insertion (and likely grading with PSA). Level up folks! We need to teach new collectors the best practices!
for years people grading and handling high end vintage cards never put them in penny sleeves. As someone else pointed out, PSA actively discouraged it for a while. What advantage does a penny sleeve even offer in a card saver? People love to be armchair experts.
Really? I always felt like I was committing some sort of unholy crime by putting a card "naked" into a card saver. It seems like a great way to ruin the surface. I wouldn't say that I am an armchair expert... a bit more than that. More like a Chez Lounge Enthusiast. @@peterchoe
@@vintage.baseball And $50 to grade and the wait and eBay fees. You're still only getting a few bucks. And that's assuming you didn't pay much for the raw card.
@dave idmarx selling "unopened " packs of cards, especially from that era...it is WAY too easy to open these packs, search them and reseal them without detection...hell most are just people that buy the wrappers and put a bunch of commons in...there is no way to accurately detect if these packs are legitimately unopened or searched.
Fortunate enough to have received a bunch of 1954 Bowman from an uncle. No Mantle or Ted, but have a Mays. These cards are vintage, but super ugly with the autographs inside the rectangular box. This video probably should have taken 3 minutes.
It's a group break, not just a pack break. There are multiple people involved with money invested. But he could work on a proper tool to cut three sides of the holder.
Those packs came from an attic I believe in Tennessee. 33% of the boxes and packs were destroyed by mice. I would think this is enough proof of a searched pack. Attics are not the best spots for unopened. Unless.the climate was decent.
From 1950's you know that gum had lead in the food coloring, pressed by asbestos machines and probably even had medicinal cocaine in it so not to get a headache..lnao
Your “big prize”, went on to Brooklyn, and represented the final out in Don Larsen’s perfect Series game, in 1956. Not bad, but…beginning to wonder, given all the cards I’ve now seen, how many immortals in real life played the majors(?) Maybe we’re the ones getting played….
Can't believe that you put those valuable old cards into the worst card sleeves and without penny sleeves.
I cannot believe that either.
He’s an amateur
Semi rigids. Pretty common for vintage.
What a DA
PSA used to reject vintage in penny sleeves. It's not really needed for vintage
Pack of commons. That's why you keep those packs sealed.

Its not normal to sleeve cards in a semi rigid and PSA wants them this way
So incredibly painful......to watch
Why?

That pack was searched. I wouldnt have trusted Mr Mint any farther than I could throw him. Dude was shady af. And Mr Mint was always RUDE.
people got to be out of their minds thinking these packs aren;t searched and then re-searched and then graded as unopened
an experienced collector can tell if wax pack has been compromised. wax pack is like a fingerprint. now i wouldn't trust GAI grading cuz they are shady dealings in past.
So has PSA.
Most older products had a pack code so you. Literally could pick all the packs with a mantle out first
You can't trust people in the hobby, always out for themselves.
Ouch. That really sucks.@@Ben-ph7pv

Very entertaining, of course I enjoy watching paint dry.
Great looking cards but realize that most packs have already been gone through and resealed. It is just WAY too easy to do with the wax and the rewards are too high. Live and learn.
I agree. Too obvious! Leave it to Alan "MR MINT" Rosen to perfect resealed wax packs.
@@jimduncan-qw6xoI ran into Mr Mint back in the 80s a few times. Not the nicest persona. Rude guy.
OMG that is def a repack the gum didn't even leave any marks

you really thought you were going to get a Mickey Mantel, Ted Williams, or Roy Campanella?😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Especially with that authenticator GAI. Guaranteed that pack was searched.
MANTLE...
Man . Get yourself a scalpel for opening those packs
I feel bad for the people that bought into this break. Pack was definitely searched and resealed.
I agree
Between those 7 less than "common" cards,i bet there wasnt 50 mlb games played in all of their careers.
Wow what a hot pack of garbage, that is a definite reseal, save the gum though to out back into the pack
A lot easier to open then PSA he’s says… they are also a lot more tampered with too👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻. GAI is not a reputable grader.
Mark Murphy who certed packs for GAI was the best ever. Much better than bbce

Penny sleeves. 🤦🏻♂️

my dad was around 5 years old when that came out, he told me that the gum back then in some of the packs were as big as the cards.
