  • Found someone who was selling their collection that was hidden away in an attic for 20+ years. Cards range from the 1950's to the early 2000's. This is going to be a blast to dig through for gems!

    Hefty collection someone likely put alot of money and time into. Astonishing someone would unload that for few hundred dollars. I am more interested in the story of people who unload these collections and what was final straw that got them to basically give them away for small fee.

I turned on my phone flashlight and I saw probably around 100,000 sports cards just in shoe boxes and I took a couple home myself because my uncle said he didn’t care about them anymore. Get those 81 gretzkies Graded At SGC they're worth about a 100 bucks At an 8 or a 9 I sold My 9 for around that and it was graded thru one of the lesser known companies.

    • @jcbuckeye
      @jcbuckeye 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Go thru sgc it's about 4-6 weeks thru a 3rd party grading service. You can do-it-yourself but you don't get the bulk submission rate so it's just as cheap to do it through somebody else if not cheaper. I bought mine graded already but SGC does the best with vintage cards

    What you need to do immediately is got and get some acid free pages and transfer the cards into these. Those of a higher quality, put in a penny holder and it’s own plastic holder and ship them to PSA when time is right for you. Those card will get damaged in those holders over time.

    Certainly over $400 worth of entertainment value. Not sure how you could maximize your income, if that's important. Card shows? Also saw what looked like a cow ripken donruss rookie that you zipped past. In perfect condition I think that's probably a good sale. Fun for me watching you and the purchase items, also glad I don't have to try and figure out how to price and sell everything.

      I do sell some of the stuff off either in lots of single cards sometimes. This is going to be a blast to go through!

      @cardboardu6019 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In general you need to sell to retail buyers to do well on this stuff. This stuff doesn't fare so well at shows, certainly dealers are not interested in most of it, but you can do quite well selling singles and lots online.
