You're probably not a bad person but what this man is doing is giving us reasons to see what we have to offer as human beings, one to the other. Pre-pandemic I would have said a smile is free. Hopefully, we'll soon be able to see facial expressions again.

When people buy a house, said people do not really own it even if it's paid off. And you don't own the ground it sits on. Cities and govt should not have the right impose sanctions on anybody. sort of reminds me reading about the cold-war and how dictator countries how they pretty much did the same thing when it come's to govt, just take it and now it isn't yours anymore. Big banks have the same reputation as they did in 2008 with foreclosure fraud for the big money investors to make their profits. And to boot even though you sort of own the homes your still paying property taxes every year which they say goes to schools, roads, public amenities or whatever. But ya don't really see where all the taxes you pay each year are going do you?? mostly Big pockets. The bank fraud of 2008 was unbelievable that these rich oligarchs do not give a damn about the people, again it's all about profit and how the banks can totally screw you out of everything... I like to really talk up my own hubby when he does the yardwork, too. He does such a good job on it and takes such pride in his work. Men need more credit for the hard work they put in. Women too.

@Amina here in the US you are responsible for maintaining your property that includes your lawn or you face fines for the city hiring somebody to clean your yard. It helps if a homeowner maintains their lawns when other neighbors are trying to sell their home. I'm assuming being we are in a pandemic these homeowner may have passed away or loss employment. It obvious no one has lived there for some time. There's an old sofa in the backyard that probably has mold and pests who made a home inside of it. Shit happens but while this man is helping his community what are you doing?

Buy the Ego Mower. It's battery powered AND it has a setting where it goes by itself, you just have to walk with it. It has saved my back and legs. Best purchase I've ever made.

Looks like the owner died in 2016. Probably nobody could or wanted to start probate. And it will be 3-5 years later until this happens, when finally enough taxes haven't been paid on a property which technically nobody owns. Make a will, people.
Anybody can do this if you own a mower. I used to cut my neighbors grass every week with mine. They didn’t have a mower and never asked to borrow mine. And I cut around our mailboxes for complexes.
I used to do this to keep the area in general looking nice. Imagine if we each gave just 1/10 of our time toward the neighborhood?

The boards are to keep people from breaking in and trashing the place. Idk about the land down under but over here people friggin TRASH abandon buildings and houses
@@user-lq1dk6gr3p Noooooo. Unless the house has been abandoned for a long time, vacant houses here aren’t thrashed. Property isn’t anywhere near as abundant and it’s expensive. Want to live anywhere but the outback? You are very hard pushed to buy a house for under $400k. The mean housing price where I live is around $750k. Sydney? It’s more like $950k-$1.1mill. So even if a house is empty, it’s not for long.
And I didn’t think about advertising either. It’s weird. I think of the US as not hugely different to Aust. But all the little bits and pieces that are so vastly different... it’s so strange
@@casseaston7925 I think this is a function of the banking system more than anything else. Where I live you can't just leave a house like that because you will still have to pay the loans etc so the only thing that would happen if the state auctioned it off would be you got less for it. I think it's different in US.

My Uncle had a lawn business for years and he and my cousins loved it. When he sold it he sold all the customers and lawn equipment with it. He sold it to run his oil business full time. His family is doing great with the oil and propane business. You do hard work, thank you for what you do for free.

This is it. This is the way I'm spending my lazy Sundays, watching a man deal with yards overtaken by grass and being (unreasonably, says the husband, pfft) jealous that I can't be a landscaper because I'm allergic to grass.

The one neighbor was using the driveway when they had their own. The least they could do is clean up the front. Since they are parking in, not their yard.

I know...I was doing the same work for 25 years until I retired in 2018. It's great to walk away and look back at the job you've just done. I have always loved mowing, ever since I was a little girl. My mother's dad taught me how to mow, and he used to let me mow his yard for him on the large open areas, he didn't want me to mow his flowers next to the house LOL. When I was older I used to go around my neighborhood and mow the elderly's yards for $5 to keep the Project Managers from charging them $15!!! It used to make them so mad... I did a couple for free if they didn't have the money and used the money I made to buy more gas and oil so that I could keep on mowing! Love it so much and love watching other people mowing and helping others as well. Great Job!

I am not sure why I am watching this from beginning to end...ha ha! I am a Lady and work 9.5 hours or sometimes more, and used to look after a Elderly couple's yard next door to me, whew! That was hard work, and I was so much younger then, lots of weed eating and mowing, and my husband bought a new ride on lawn mower, that is still operational today, lots of aftercare for your tools are what is needed after all that work!! I made sure to always check the oil levels, and take tools with me, hence I needed to take something apart, and make it operational again! I hope people appreciate all that you do! :)

No. This is a sad mess that happened over time. Believe me, I've lived in towns where all the rules were followed and a town where "situations" were left un attended. I prefer the towns where the rules are followed. No complications and property values were maintained. Municipal employees have a job to do and most of us want them to do it well. "It takes a village."

I have always LOVED watching grass get mowed since I was a little girl! I'm allergic to cut grass, though, so I could never get too close. This channel is the BEST thing I've found in awhile lol here goes my Saturday!

Great video when I was younger I would go around and cut my neighbors yard out of kindness. Most of my neighbors at time was elder and limit to money. So, before I went out to go college. I would wake up early in morning and cut my neighbors yard free of charge. Your videos bring back memories. Keep up the work!!!

You're the best man! I have 2 acres and a few times I got tickets from the city because my grass was too tall. I always have problems cutting it. I can only cut on the weekends because I work and if it rains 2 or 3 weekends in a row, I'm really screwed.
