Its the coach and this is coming from a warriors fan. How do you have that much talented players and he couldnt find minutes for him? Couldnt figure out how to use him to his advantage? His a good defender.
Tatum was cold and other people were able to fill his role, that's it. That's the beauty of this team. And with such a short amount of time, you typically have to go with whos hot. Which is why KD got thrown back into the mix, he went OFF in his first game back. There could've been an argument made that because Steph wasn't hot, he could've sat more... but boy is everyone glad now that he didn't get benched. Plus he's proven himself more than Tatum.
And when you consider the value of players that are cold, among them Steph is one of the few that is still able to maintain parts of the value when cold because of his movement off the ball and ball handling. So keeping Steph in when he wasn’t hot wasn’t even that bad of a decision
I agree. Jayson “38% from the Field” Tatum is one of the more overrated players in this league. He wasn’t as important in this Olympics as his fanboys make him out to be.
The same Jason Tatum who will pass up an open 3 for a contested side step 3? The same Jason Tatum who can’t make layups? Who has KD and LeBron playing in the same position? 😂 in a 7 game series sure, but when it’s one and done I wouldn’t risk that either

While he's a good shooter, he isn't a better shooter, especially spot ups and the like, compared to someone like Book, or event Ant. And when you have Lebron as the main guy running the offense, i don't really know how anyone can expect for Tatum to get a ton of minutes. Tatum is fighting for his minutes againts 2 of the top 10 (arguably top 5) SF. Either move him to the SG position (where he needs to fight quality minutes from ant and book) or rot in the bench
I watched all the games. Tatum played the worst of everyone. He PLAYED himself out of the rotation. And still got more minutes than other players. Kerr made all the right calls. His job was to win the gold, not make sure all the Celtic played all the time.
The way he was done coming off the bench. He could have taken Steph's game when he was not doing well. This was not right. I don't care what anyone says. Steph is my goat but to embarrass him on the world‘s stage was cruel! They tried to set Steph up but it didn't work! Hahaha gg❤

Just know Tatum is about to repeat cuz of disrespect
Draymond trying to get traded to Boston.
Tatum thought he was the main character.
I don't want the TRUTH, LIE to me!
Tatum was easily the weakest player on the team. That was a stacked team, and tatum didn’t fit right
That's Cap 😂 Stop being a sheep
I dont care about how the lil boys feel about how Jayson CantBuyaJumper Taytum. Just dumb. We won off of the efforts of everyone
This man isn’t wrong.
Thank you good sir
Kerr sticks to his story.
It’s honestly kinda funny cuz if Kawhi didn’t opt out Tatum would been playing even less 😂😂
Good point
Tbf, Tatum was playing about as bad as, if not better than, Steph until Steph finally showed up in the penultimate game
If we played Tatum, we would’ve had two guys laying bricks. I like Tatum, but one night he’s dropping 40 against Giannis, or 50 on Embiid, then the next game he can’t make a shot to save his life. I think USA just banked on Steph coming through, because besides defense Steph is more reliable, and he was due for a few hot shooting performances
@@life0093 normally I hate gambler’s fallacy when people say “he was due”, when the same could have happened for Tatum or hadn’t happened at all…….but goddamn it if I don’t believe in Steph’s clutch 3’s more than maths now
@@diegotejada55 Yeah, but Steph is the greatest shooter ever. If Tatum was the greatest shooter ever, they’d would’ve found some more minutes for him. Plus Steph was a starter on that team. Tatum was a bench player. Steph’s leash was always gonna be longer, especially with the guy he won 4 championships with coaching the team. Tatum had his moment in 2021, and he’ll have his chance in 2028. Kobe’s city.
im a proud tatum hater
He watched the meme where it looks like he's making out with the ball. It broke his shot lmao
Tatum is better than holiday and boomer he should have hot more minutes
Its crazy we talking more about a players minutes instead of the gold medal tatum got benched because of KD the Olympic GOAT and d book shooting and him playing the best defense of his career rather people want to admit it or not kerr gave tatum ample opportunity to earn his minutes in the exhibition games and he didn't they won the gold with he obviously wasn't needed now if team USA was struggling and kerr just had tatum sitting and didn't try to see if tatum could impact the game the tatum minutes thing would make more sense.
Draymond Green be careful what you say you talking about about your coach Steve Kerr everybody know when you’re playing for Goldmember in the Olympics someone after sacrifice Steve Kerr got nine rings you know what I’m doing so just be careful grandma Green. Yes be careful.
New haircut that reason he not playing
thank you
Jaylen Brown didn't even get an invite. Anthony Edwards, my favorite player, arguably had about a similar impact as Brown would. The difference being Brown is older, and arguably more deserving because of the championship.
Every player that was there was used effectively. Embiid and Tatum played the worst. Curry got hot late, Embiid showed up late, Tatum never got comfortable. Booker outplayed Tatum.
Agreed, in fairness to Embiid he showed up big in the Serbia game but yep you’re right
Nah ANT is a better 3pt shooter. I doubt Jaylen would shoot 48% from 3 this olympics like ANT did.
@@kingdinodragonite3470 Possibly. I didn't want to speak with an absolute statement. My point was that Jaylen would be capable of playing a similar role with this stacked of a team and he was arguably more deserving of the shot to play in the olympics because of the championship and his age.
Playing with star players just shows how mediocre Tatum really is. He literally excells at nothing.
Great video but wasnt even needed - the stats just hammer it home but the eyes dont lie, he was bad when he was on the court in France. Simple as that
What if Embiid did not get the chance to play for the USA? Will he play for France?
He has the yips
PREACH
Book>Tatum all day everyday
First Jayson not winning finals MVP and now this? Though he is at the height of his NBA career, deep down he must be feeling real sh*tty too.
Then he needs to play better.
Entitlement everywhere in the Participation Trophy culture.
Tatum and the Celtics will go back to back . In 2028 call LeBron and kd old a*** .
