    Nice to see Jeff, I often wonder where some of these guys are and how they're doing. These are the guys I/we looked up to.

    Ultra cool! Wild that they had the electronics so advanced. Would love to see what electronic solenoid thing on the carb Ping mentions (1:59).

    I'm good friends with Tony Berluti. He has one of Chickens Suzuki's and I rode it a couple of times, that was years ago.

    The Japanese did a lot of dyno testing pining down different power deliveries from the various component combinations

    I want to know what was done to his 500, aside from larger crank bearings.
    And also, does he still have the #6 YZM500?

    How could this bike be programmed with no ECM? I think chicken was smoking a chicken

    • @hughparker
      @hughparker ปีที่แล้ว

      It does have one, it’s under the seat in the air box.

    • @unclejessiesrodshop8432
      @unclejessiesrodshop8432 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      What makes you think that it doesn't have some kind of ecm? Cars had ECM's over a decade before this. In this case it really is just a programmable ignition curve and possibly some kind of engine feedback via an o2 sensor to adjust the air fuel ratio via the solenoid in the carb. None of that was "rocket science" in the 1990's.

      There was a solenoid on the carb, which makes sense regarding his mapping story
