Its not mad, its extraordinary, that sometimes religious men can write down things in a book, which has solid scientific meaning, and perhaps they had no clue what they were writing about.

This is literally what I wish I could have playing on a loop in my house through a Hi-Fi system. If I won millions, i'd buy an old castle, fix it up, live in it, and this would be playing on loop!

Pretty simple concept, there's a town, with an underground cult, and these college students are the only ones who can stop the cult from summoning pretty much eldritch deity's and taking over the world. It's gonna have cool fight scenes 👍

I'm currently reading through Wayne Barlowe's _God's Demon,_ a fascinating and vivid exploration of his visions of hell as an artist (see _Barlowe's Inferno)_ through the eyes of both damned human souls and a hierarchied caste of once-heavenly exiles turned savage colonists, some of whom remember their former home in heaven and see themselves as Fallen Angels and other, more sadistic fatalists who've accepted the identity of Demon. This music is proving to be a stimulating complement as I contemplate eternity in Hell through their minds.

You make your way through the old passageways, the sound of your footsteps echoing in the deep darkness. As you progress further into the catacomb, the dim lights from the castle begin to die down; the air around you slowly becomes colder, and you start to hear a slow, constant, *drip*... *drip*... *drip*. There's water dropping down from the ceiling somewhere; perhaps from the castle's well, or sewers.
You continue down the winding path, with only the sounds of your footsteps, and the water falling down, to accompany you. You walk and walk: trying to guide yourself using the faint light of your torch for what feels like hours, until it goes out. You can no longer see, so you rely on your other senses: you search for the closest wall with your hands to get your bearings, hone your smell to detect the faint stench of excrement and animal corpses long abandoned down here, and especially, you fine-tune your ears, to better adjust to the deafening silence.
And so, you carry on: left, right. Left. Right.
Suddenly, you notice a speck of light in front of you. Far, far away, it looks like a wisp. It could be nothing. And yet... your ears, now used to the almost deafening silence, catch something: a chant. It's too far away to make out exactly, but you know there's someone down there.
You hesitate, but decide to continue walking. After all, if there's light and voices, it can't be worse than this maddening, endless dark void, right? So you head towards the light and sounds: first slowly, trying to avoid tripping over your own steps. Then, as the light gets closer, you start to run: you crave the light, you *need* the light. You're so desperate to leave this place, to feel warmth and familiarity after what could possibly be days, that you haven't noticed the strange inscriptions on the walls. Nor the language of the chanting that now draws closer to you.
Whatever that chant is, or whatever it means, it's not human. It's not... alive.
On some level, you register it: the hairs on your arms and neck stand up, and you feel a sudden chill down your spine, even though the corridor is oddly warm. But you pay no mind, you're almost there!
The light grows closer: you can see a gate! A tall, wide stone archway stands before you, with a heavy wooden gate barely ajar. The doors bear a strange symbol, and the archway is enscribed with strange words that you can't understand:

Your instinct tells you to go, to turn back: the darkness is safer than what lies beyond this gate. But you choose to ignore it, and push the door...
These tracks are enough to give chills and goosebumps to the one who fears the dark and to make someone suicide who is in depression already !!
