  • What's up everyone check out this video where I install universal caster swivel wheels on a Toro timemaster 30" mower. I think these caster wheels will help the Toro timemaster be even more efficient and easier to use.
    if you'd like to check these wheels out for yourself click this link below

    Five years ago, I bought a good used, well-maintained 2 y/o TimeMaster. Just got done replacing the BBC cable and installing the casters and a 1 gallon fuel tank (combined the 2 for extra capacity), gave it a tune up with a SeaFoam treatment, new plug, gas and air filter, synthetic oil and Oregon hi-lift blades. Practically a brand new mower!! Will eventually upgrade to the 223cc B&S engine. I also installed a 2nd washout fitting on the opposite side of the deck. Thanks for the video.

    Oh yea big difference size of wheels. Wow that works great, but yea I mow a lot of hills so it wouldn't be good for me. That's pretty cool. Great video brother. I will stay tuned I might put them on my backup mower for the flat yards I do.

    Very cool!!! I agree, I'd wanna hate on the directly off da rip because of how they look. But, if I had a push mower I'd 100% look into something like this!! Hoping all is well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!

    Fw 15 ferris would be a good ticket , Plus I kinda like that upgrade on the Toro the front caster's could be a little beefyer nice job ,I wish they would make the Toro21 proline and the Toro turf master with casters that wud be kool

      I agree. The ferris fw15 is my plan to upgrade this to. I want to get this one through one more season first. I'm going to upgrade these wheels and make them stronger in the future

    • @JonsDailyHustle
      @JonsDailyHustle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @J.P. LAWN CARE no way...this mower is way better in my opinion. It's smaller lighter in weight and can fold up. It has its flaws but it's better for my setup. These caster were just to mess around with mainly. I want to get this mower through one more season and then I'll upgrade to the ferris fw15. Plus I don't have good dealer support for the cub cadets

    Harbor freight sells a much nicer bigger / rubber caster wheel. Did u do an upgrade yet ? I think I just a wheel closer to the stock size and height !

    • @JonsDailyHustle
      @JonsDailyHustle  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yep, the extra weight of that wheel was too much for this bracket. I did end up adding an extra peice of metal to the bracket to run the better tires

  • @rick3747
    @rick3747 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love my Timemaster but Toro needs to make a retrofit for those of us who want bigger wheels say 11" on the back and 9" on the front with casters. The wheels should be at least semi-pneumatic. Also, Toro should make the gas tank a gallon size. Then, the Timemaster would be ready to cut my 3/4 acre with ease.

    • @JonsDailyHustle
      @JonsDailyHustle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Rick I absolutely agree with you. I've been looking into making a Frankenstein timemaster throughout this year but getting parts is complicated right now

  • @MBGAdventures
    @MBGAdventures 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Love the idea and yes, it will work great but, right away even before you demo and said it, won't work on ditches and hills. You will have to fight it to keep it straight. I wonder if you can modify it somehow to have a pin or something to put in so the wheels stay straight for when you are doing hills? I know your wheels in your head turn like mine lol. Thanks for sharing that idea. What I would like to try and do is make a remote control Timemaster. Hmmm. Great video Jon!

    • @JonsDailyHustle
      @JonsDailyHustle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MBG Adventures I will definitely be modifying it in the future, we'll see what I can come up with. It definitely needs some adjustments but shouldn't be anything I can't handle lol

    • @JonsDailyHustle
      @JonsDailyHustle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @TG Lawn Maintenance thanks ,they work pretty good so far. No you can't lock them in place so you can't use them on inclines...however I plan to do a diy upgrade with them and make them lock in place

    • @JonsDailyHustle
      @JonsDailyHustle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @John Grinnell well actually I've been working on some mods for these, they made it about 6 months of commercial use and abuse before they broke. I'll have vids returning coming in a few weeks. As for the sulky idk if this mower would have enough power to pull it....maybe for just your kid but I'd be careful with pulling any weight behind this as it's extra wear and tear on the drive system that seems to be temperamental at times

  • @travisshedd930

    Do you think these would work on the xmark commercial 30? Wheel setup is different than the toro version.

    • @JonsDailyHustle
      @JonsDailyHustle  ปีที่แล้ว

      They probably would, but the exmark is a commercial grade 30" so it might be a bit to heavy for these to use long term

    Do you find it hard to do straight lines on a flat lawn?

    • @JonsDailyHustle
      @JonsDailyHustle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @rawe63 that's a great question. On the rougher yards it absolutely will not do straight lines. I'm hoping when I modify these it will help with that. On a perfectly smooth property it does require a bit of concentration to jeep it straight but it can be done

    • @rawe63
      @rawe63 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JonsDailyHustle ya I wondered about that, it would be a concern for sure.
      Turning the Timemasters can be a pain but with experience it does get easier.
      I think if you were to retrofit a wider wheel it might track better and also not compress the grass as much.
      Cheers from Canada.

    Think the company who built them could have made the a little bit heavier duty for not much more money. It's a good idea. But just needs to be twerked. Have locking frontend as well. Think most people wouldn't have a problem paying an extra twenty bucks.
