I recently watched jean in So long at the fair.
I'm sure I played "Hitch-hiker's", as an old text-based adventure games on an old PC. They were good as you used your imagination and they were really very engrossing. Clever bloke was Douglas Adams.

Stunning cemetery but such a shame that so many of these final resting places are now sadly neglected.
That’s the basic idea with Highgate. Minimal upkeep semi wild. It’s what makes it so beautiful.
I don't see that as sad. Nature takes over, just how it's meant to be

Why do some of the memorial stones have pebbles sitting on top?
Some people pay the respects by leaving a stone or a rock, especially the Jewish community

It needs to be left alone and not fussed with. No organising or neat and tidying, it’s why people want to be buried there. Fusspots get buried elsewhere.

@@peterrobinson4093 It's maintained by a charity and that's the way it's kept. If a tree needs pruning or cutting down its done but it's kept to the minimum. It's not even laid out like a typical cemetery it meanders about with hills and hollows. I get the feeling if you were incharge of it you'd cut most of the trees down wip out all the "weeds" and completely destroy it.
Some may find it interesting, although highgate is such a overgrown jungle with unkept graves, our poor british celebs. Have ended up in.!!! far cry from the manicured hollywood graves. Oh please i dont want to end up there!!

I enjoy your videos, but on the Highgate ones you don't explain who the other people on the graves are. Even if you say and the wife of the other person etc etc to keep it brief.
I only had a limited time in London and the object of my journey was to cover as many notables in that time, to of cover all details in relation to relatives and further inscriptions would of been too time consuming
@@interestingplaces1 Sally Beauman under Alan Howard was a VERY FAMOUS successful author , they were partners in life and in death it seems both very well known. not 1 more than the other @louise Coupland :)
Such a shame that the graves aren't kept tidy, weeds every where, especially sheila's grave, not nice at all
Folk that are buried all end up like this eventually, I want to fly fly free on the breeze when I go

very talented singer and generous with his money but what a silly man in his private life he was, No wonder he died
George was a lovely man singing and did a lot for cancer .He died of a broken heart 🌼

Now I’ve seen it all. George Michael, his mother and sister, all Jewish buried under a huge cross in a gentile cemetery! RIP

This has nothing to do with woke, the term actor has been used by females for over 40 years its not a new thing
