    I’m glad you showed feeling badly i was gonna say hurts don’t let anyone fool you! It burns so badly it’s insane. I dunno 🤷🏻‍♀️ why no videos actually say how bad it hurts. I wasn’t prepared because everyone seems like it’s “no big deal” maybe for some but I was insanely in pain 😢and only did one night and a was looking for videos to show the true process hoping I wasn’t the only one

    Hi Kelsey! I'm just getting all caught up after missing a week and a bit. I'm *SO* excited to see the process coming on (&to have 3 more videos to watch from you guys!). I'm very happy that this part wasn't as hard as you'd feared it would be and are feeling more positive about diving into all this (- the treatment, not the baby part - I know you were fully onboard with that!). &so happy the heating pad is working out. I get bad hot flashes as well so I have my heat pads as well as a cooler size hard ice pack in a homemade flannel pouch everynight so I fully feel you on any temperature regulation issues! (Luckily I sleep alone so I look wacky to only those present!🙋, but even if I didn't I am fully committed to being fine looking like a lunatic with an abundance of heating and cooling apparatus on my bed and scattered about my room. I sleep much better for it :D ) I do hope yours turns out to be very temporary and isn't too too intense while you're going through this process.
    I hope the extra vial of medication helps and bumps up the odds for you guys! That box did make it seem like you'd be pulling out something a bit larger from the inner envelope! They could've at least made it fun and cute by using russian nesting doll inspired envelopes to get to the package :)
    I agree the drugs are worth the cost but I do wish so many of them weren't so pricey. I have one I was recommended and stands my best chance to see me out of bed again someday but it's about 50k-60k a year. I am nowhere close to being able to afford it and I'm too sick to have a job where I'd have or could save that kind of money. Which isn't great. So I get what you mean and even though you can swing the cost for the IVF I still wish these drugs you're buying (&all the others) were more affordable for you and everyone else.
    Anyways, I hope you know what I mean on the drug price thing... I just so hate that the price of the medications isn't based on production costs, but what they think people will pay/feel it's worth to stay in good health/alive... sorry didn't mean to get all serious about this. More front of mind recently after being in hospital I suppose.
    I'm heading to watch your other videos now so you'll probably hear from me again as I excitedly watch those! xx
    Ps. I don't know if you've not filmed in your bedroom before or if I've just been super dumb and never paid attention but your room is so cute! I love the exposed brick, the headboard, and furniture - it looks exactly like a perfect room for lazy weekends, breakfasts in bed and all that. It's so cozy looking and perfectly styled for you guys. xx

      Annie you are so sweet! I think this is the first time we have filmed our bed room! When we built our house I wanted a brick wall in our bedroom so bad and luckily we found a guy to come lay all the brick for us, and he did an awesome job!
      I am with ya with the cost of meds. It is crazy how much they cost! I am so grateful for them, but they put a dent in the wallet! We took out a loan to do IVF, but we know it will be worth it in the long run! I am sorry there are some meds you need and are not able to have access too. Its pretty interesting how the medical system is set up!
      Thanks for being so sweet and cheering us on! we really appreciate it so much!

    I appreciate how lighthearted the music is. I have to start this soon. I don't have any reproductive issues, but me husband does. What I do have is an anxiety disorder with panic and agoraphobia (which has gotten a million times better thank God). But around that time of the month the hormone changes give me anxiety. So I'm expecting that the injections will too. I can handle physical pain but the psychological stuff is the worst. Thanks for the vid

    Hey! I am getting ready to do IVF with that same clinic but I was so curious about that sticky pill you mentioned for the embryo transfer. What is it called? By the way, I’m so happy for your success story! It gives me so much hope. I can only imagine how hard it is/was to share your story but I’m so thankful that you did. I’m literal binge watching your vlogs now lol ❤️

    I'm starting IVF soon, I found your channel really informative, thank you for sharing your journey. May I know what is that 500 dollar pill? When will you take it? Is it before the FET process?

    • @HangWithTheBangs
      @HangWithTheBangs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      oh I am so glad! So the $500 was for Neuopogen, I thought it was a pill when I got it (because of the packaging it came in) but it's actually an injection. It's something a doctor or nurse has to inject and they inject it into the uterus lining about 5 days before an embryo transfer. Here is a little more info about it as well: kelseybang.com/2020/02/4-things-that-made-a-difference-in-our-ivf-process.html

    So each injection in one day are in the same spot

    • @HangWithTheBangs
      @HangWithTheBangs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on what medications and how many shots a doctor will have someone on. With us we switched sides each day for shots, but some people will have shots in the tummy and bum or one or the other depending on what meds.

    Does it hurt

    • @HangWithTheBangs
      @HangWithTheBangs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess it would depend on pain tolerance and how many injections, so I know it can be different for everyone. I was really surprised by injections and they did not hurt to bad, it was more my anxiety around them in the beginning. But overall it was so much better than I thought it would be.
