That was pretty crazy alright, great video! Four years ago I was hanging out in Manali waiting for the pass to open so I could do the bus journey to Leh. But the pass wasn't opening up. This was in April so there was still a lot of snow. Finally someone told me about the pass over the mountains from Kashmir, which was a shorter pass and would open up earlier. So I went by bus over there, but that pass still wasn't open. I had to wait in Kashmir for a week and finally the pass was open and I got over it and made it to Leh. Even after staying 10 days in Leh the pass to Manali still hadn't opened up, so I ended up taking a flight back to Delhi. It was still an awesome adventure though.

Man you are crazy !!! I got stuck in a similar situation and my head was almost exploding. At the same time, kept picking up the bike and my fellow rider almost giving up and wanted to lie down on the road then and there. That rain and snow mixture seriously send shivers down the spine. Picking these heavy bikes after every fall required all the strength , yet to this day will be best of memory :). I am so glad you made it !!!
Jacob Laukaitis Arunachal Pradesh in my opinion has the best and most beautiful part of Indian Himalayas. However, since it most untouched and pristine it is better for trekking than riding a motorbike .
I also was stuck in ice. Bike lost traction and we couldn't even push the bike. We waited till the army convoy came with chained tyres, which broke the ice. Still we needed BRO to get us out of there.

It was one of the nicest trips i did on motorcycle . Splendid.
Honestly I've just watched a 23 min video on youtube and finished it from start to end for the first time ever.
Thanksss! Super happy to hear that :)
Same here, didn't realise i watch a 20 minute video...
You should have used a Royal Enfield Himalayan with proper adventure gear and waterproof coustmes for better experience.
😂 actually. This guy was like a lost soul 🤣
Yeah..but then, it wouldn't have been "adventurous" 😁😁
Nothern Face is adventure gear which he is wearing..Better then RE stuffs..Just saying..

Hey Jacob, amazing story which you'll indeed never forget! Why spending so much money into a cool car or whatever when there is so much to explore and adventures waiting! This Video wants me to escape my current daily routine so bad! Best wishes... Benjamin
BENSNwins well said Ben!
Even the fastest car cannot give you the emotional connect and sheer happiness of riding a motorcycle. I absolutely love adventure motorcycles. The idea that I can go anywhere I want and Breakfree from the monotone, fascinates me!
I have seen hundreds of Ladakh videos...but yours is one of the best! Well edited, Well Shot, Informative, Fun!!
Thanksss!
Devashish Vaid exactly. True. There Nothing of leh like this upload .
There are actually many many Indians who didnt visit the Himalayas that much, but luckily my family were addicted to himalayas so we had been going on these adventurous trips for like ten years and its always a MASSIVE adventure that never fails to dissapoint... and i can 99% say that himalayas are the most breath taking places in the entire world... everything is so unique and every trip will be carved in your memory forever! ... i cant express the mind boggling time i had in these trips for whole decade... u will definetly hav the most unique experience ever cuz its the highest places on earth!..... weather is unpredictable so u gotta be prepared extremely well 😀

Wow! Epic ride you guys! It looked totally gruelling but you guys toughed it out, well done! Thanks for sharing! Two thumbs up! And a testament to the versatility/durability of RE's.
I like his channel because actually shows what makes each country unique , unlike many other travel vloggers such as Drew Binsky . Jacob shows the beauty of a country and I wish there was more people like him.
This is a situation where vlogging actually came to use, helped people watching almost live through the experience !!
Hey Jacob, this is Anand from India, I want to make a humble request, please visit the north-east states of india, specially during the month of october. It will make you feel more and more amazing moments of life and India.

Thanks for this wonderful video. I'm from TamilNadu, the brand maker & exporter of Royal Enfield motorcycles. Have been dreaming about hitting the Himalayan roads on my own Enfield all my life and is still in process. People might say I'm crazy, they really did. Next time they ask me, I'm going to tune in to 22:00(in the video) to give them an answer.
Making Memories is absolutely what I crave for and I just feel pumped having watched this video.
Thank you & Happy riding brother.

And yes 5-10yrs down the line you will feel that that was one hell of a trip.
Sometimes I really think that I have wasted my life untill now.. I am 30 now and my life has been wasted amidst studies and jobs.. I've downloaded this video since 2019 even though I spent over a year in ladakh coz of my job...all those crazy adventures and solo riding.. especially when I got stuck alone on a September night in snowstorm...had to take shelter in an abandoned ruin and had to check on my bike every hour in pitch dark...even so ..this video encourage me to feel alive once again...
A Bike ride to Leh-Ladakh is all about rediscovering your soul...
Cheers mate...
I will never reach this corner of this world but thanks to your wonderful video, I feel like I have. I love your videos and your positive outlook on life. Thank you.
Why don't you think you'll ever reach it yourself? It's not that difficult!
You know what, i'm from that corner of the world. Hit me up, i'll be riding there next year.
We'll figure something out.

Corner for you and whole world's center for us. Come on we will wait for your video.
You don't need so much money to travel in India .
Woah!!! This gave me goosebumps. Really inspired by you, thanks a lot. This is the Craziest travel story I've ever heard.
In winter come to Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh
Will do!
Jacob Laukaitis Arunachal Pradesh in my opinion has the best and most beautiful part of Indian Himalayas. However, since it most untouched and pristine it is better for trekking than riding a motorbike .
Jacob Laukaitis That's the spirit man!!
And then They say that Royal Enfield is unreliable .

The KING be prepared for the snow. And may be customised tyres too to help you in snow.
Go for ittt!
No customised tyres arent required. Just listen to the military. If they say no then they mean it.
I remember doing this in November in -18 that army shelter was a great help. Although we will always feel it dint make a huge difference.
Dude I am glad you made it. Your emotions imitated mine. Kudos to life !!
Royal Enfield's pulled this off. Any other bike would've bite the snow.
And not just any Royal Enfield, but a HIMALAYAN

I have done with Apache RTR 160cc bike twice 2017 and 2018.
India is so vast it has mountains, vallies, plains and plateau .
Royal Enfield bikes vibrate a lot, from the handlebars to the footpegs and that caused all the fatigue. Only a hot bath can bring relief.
lmao, fatigue due to vibration !?
