Really love your vids. I've been reading Jojo since I was 13, now I'm 21 and it's still exciting to learn more facts like these about my favorite series.
The Pokemon Special/Pokemon Adventures manga took clear inspiration from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, primarily in its style of writing fights, but also a few direct references. When Red fights a Gastly in the Pokemon Tower, whose fog is puppeting Green and the corpses of Pokemon, his solution is to have Saur suck up all the fog. Yellow's ability to heal is commented upon in a similar way to Jotaro noting Crazy Diamond, in that it's fundamentally an ability of kindness in a destructive world. Agatha directly references Enya, taunting that a blade cannot cut through fog.
Fun fact: If you look at the Qtaro Kujo part in justice it above Qtaro it says Tenmei Kakyoin (Kakyoins intended name but it looks similar to Noriaki) in the anime.
"Shidler" FINALLY, now I can name call Midler players something. JoJo HFTF/ Jojoban is SUPER fun and has a great and small community. Not really, but it DOES make the enemy sleep... if you can even land it at all since it has a long animation. Makes me wonder if Pol actually had the arrow in p3...

They should have a permanent JoJo area at Universal. Like in Islands of Adventure there's that weird area that's based on very outdated comics, I doubt many people would be mad if they replaced it with Polnareffland or something.
As a note on the italian translations, it's very likely that the Locacaca 6251 extract's name was changed back to Rokakaka because of... _unfortunate implications_ with the original name. In Spanish, "Loca caca" translates to something akin to "crazy shit", and being a romance language I assume italian has a similar translation...
It wouldn't really work the same in Italian but yeah we say cacca to say shit and Locacaca close enough it could mean "He shitss" or something like that so yea I know why they used Rokakaka ahah
Italian JoJo fan here. Star Comics, the publisher for JoJo in Italy, is well known for putting a lot of attention in manga's consistency and they still release their adaptations with the same translation even if years old, whereas other publishers would "update" them and charge for the revised version.
I respect that but it also means that for any possibly bad adaptation they make they will double, triple and quadruple down on it for years to come and i could see that bothering some fans
@@MasterLu551 They usually tweak or even downright retranslate stuff if needed when they release a brand new edition of a manga, and it's also been the case with JoJo. They simply stick with their translation choices in an ongoing series, so for example the locacaca fruit was romanized as rokakaka because it wasn't spelled out in Latin letters when they started translating JoJolion, and they won't change the translation on the spot in late volumes. I imagine they would change it to "locacaca" from the get go if/when they'll release a new edition of JoJolion (e.g. the bunkoban format)
My theory about the in-universe Lucky Land is that it’s a front company for the Speedwagon Foundation, creating any and all things for sale so that they can continue bankrolling whatever they’re assisting the Joestar family with
My takeaway is Lucky Land is like JoJo's version of Walmart but more upscale like Macy's mixed with Walmart so thats where they buy their clothes from sometimes and they have groceries and milk deliveries.
No way, a boss with a second more powerful form, even though he was sufficiently weakened by the player's attacks? In a From Soft game after the first Dark Souls? It boggles the mind.

One of the bits of part 6 i remember so well is that final change with the shots of the ant, so learning that was a new addition is nuts
Now I wanna see the whole GW episode with the Fruits Basket subtitles
Really love your vids. I've been reading Jojo since I was 13, now I'm 21 and it's still exciting to learn more facts like these about my favorite series.
SAM REIMI AND ARAKI?????
WHAT
two of the coolest creators, damn
I was planning on reading Pokemon Adventures sooner or later, but now it's defo sooner
And that's why Pokemon Adventures is better than the anime and recommended the read!
@@il3fortunato664 Most everything is better than the anime. It's an eternal advertisement disguised as a on-going show.
Fun fact: If you look at the Qtaro Kujo part in justice it above Qtaro it says Tenmei Kakyoin (Kakyoins intended name but it looks similar to Noriaki) in the anime.
Manga too
"Shidler" FINALLY, now I can name call Midler players something.
JoJo HFTF/ Jojoban is SUPER fun and has a great and small community. It's also sorta free to play (although you NEED to find a rom for it). I recommend checking it out.
BONUS FUN FACT:
In HFTF, Polnareff has a secret move that makes turns his stand into it's requiem form... Not really, but it DOES make the enemy sleep... if you can even land it at all since it has a long animation. Makes me wonder if Pol actually had the arrow in p3...
The community was once so big, the game is slowly dying now :(

I can't believe you still haven't mentioned the similarity in between Kira's monologue from part 4 vol.37 chapter 345 page 5 (1994) and its similarity to the monologue of Patrick Bateman (Americen Psycho film 2000, book 1991)
I love that final spread from Steel Ball Run, I got chills when I realized how special it was!
I also like how the stone ocean opening even has an easter egg to josephs walkback
Lucky Land's logo being a callused hand is such a sweet way to give respect to other mangakas and artists.
Araki interviewing Sam Raimi is something I never knew I absolutely needed to read
Good to see that you have grown a lot now! Been a fan since 20k, and I am more than happy to see how far you reached. Keep rocking it, and man do I dig the new intro font!
Sam Raimi directing a JoJo movie would be *Made in Heaven.* Just imagine Old Joseph played by Bruce Campbell!
Omg yes! That would be perfect casting!!!
Love the videos hope to see more!
I was very young, but before the JoJo anime came out, I actually watched the OVA. Which is how I got into JoJo. Really appreciate that OVA. It was so interesting, and the dub was really fun. When polnereff screamed Iggy I really felt that. When I went on to watch the anime, I was confused because I wasn't sure if it was even the same series, lol.
I actually hunted down the exact models of Joseph's walkman from part 2 and MD player from Part 4, both working condition after a little restoration. Awesome devices :)
That swerve from a 4d attraction to Mamma Mia caught me off guard
4:08 Poor Waldo, his body never was found...
Bru in front of thousands of people?
You dumb
I saw some YT videos of the JoJo 4-D attraction back in 2017 - being stabbed in the head -(hat)- by DIO made the whole audience laugh
13:08 I LAUGHED SO HARD BRUH
I had that stardust crusaders vols!! I had read jojo years before i even realized it. I had always wondered back in the day why it was like just dropping ya kn the middle kf something that felt bigger
3:55 why?, why did that make me laugh?
They should have a permanent JoJo area at Universal. Like in Islands of Adventure there's that weird area that's based on very outdated comics, I doubt many people would be mad if they replaced it with Polnareffland or something.
5:46 How exactly would one "feel the sensation of time being stopped?"
🤔
I saw Sam Raimi. I clicked
I'll tell you how Spain handles this when we get there.
Crazy Shit doesn't stray too far from its nature though
It wouldn't really work the same in Italian but yeah we say cacca to say shit and Locacaca close enough it could mean "He shitss" or something like that so yea I know why they used Rokakaka ahah
Seeing my name in this video gave me a huge shock! I’m glad that some new insights could be gleamed from that tape. I’m a huge fan of the channel
Are you planning on ripping the video from the tape?
@@Hamon_Beat Yes, i just haven’t gotten around to it yet
for some reason. I would want Sam Reimi to direct Phantom Blood movie someday
Great video, no unnecessary bs just clean and simple
9:57 we just gonna ignore how much they look like the vampire horses?
Some scary lookin monsters
@@GalekC good grief...
Italian JoJo fan here. Star Comics, the publisher for JoJo in Italy, is well known for putting a lot of attention in manga's consistency and they still release their adaptations with the same translation even if years old, whereas other publishers would "update" them and charge for the revised version.
It's good that Star is so faithful in their adaptations without updating them.
Araki is a Raimi fan and Raimi is an Araki fan?
Sounds like JoJo is going to put some dirt in your eye.
My theory about the in-universe Lucky Land is that it’s a front company for the Speedwagon Foundation, creating any and all things for sale so that they can continue bankrolling whatever they’re assisting the Joestar family with
Hirohiko Araki is based for liking Spider-Man 2
9:30 If I'm not mistaken, there's also a Lucky Land logo during the chorus of the Stand Proud opening for Stardust Crusaders.
Joseph listening to the Beatles in an airport, and then getting attacked by a Beetle stand in a plane is really ironic.
So you’re saying Spiderman, my childhood and still favorite marvel movie was a jojo reference? HECK YEAH
I never thought jojo and fruits basket would be connected somehow. Two od my favorite series
4:00 who is responsible for this?? XD
My takeaway is Lucky Land is like JoJo's version of Walmart but more upscale like Macy's mixed with Walmart so thats where they buy their clothes from sometimes and they have groceries and milk deliveries.
9:36 Thorn armour is most likely a reference to the card "K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth" in Magic the gathering. The thron knight names is even Kirk
Fun Fact: I watched this video while taking a Shidler.
10:34 I would also add that Serosh is definitely Godfrey's stand, change my mind
10:50 Also Godfrey in Elden Ring quite literally has a Stand that’s holding his barbarian nature back. Until he kills it to go full beast mode.
No way, a boss with a second more powerful form, even though he was sufficiently weakened by the player's attacks? In a From Soft game after the first Dark Souls? It boggles the mind.
@@deadliestvice5356 I see what you're saying, but also easter eggs like that could be true. I honestly don't know if it's remotely close to a JoJo reference but the fact that someone recognized it might be is in and of itself a meme lol
16:40 that trailer still holds up of Course he was behind it. Damn thats really really cool
7:49 nothing could have prepared me for anything that he was going to say there
Same
Fun fact : In france we absolutly hate the editor of jojo « delcourt/tonkam » because there is lots of grammatical errors, lots of problems in multiple volumes, and they keep pushing the release date of the volume 25 of jojolion (originaly intended the 07/06/22 and now we don’t know when 🤷♂️). Also they’re not making any effort promoting the manga in france. Nobody likes them (and there are lots of other problems)
I was there for the subtitle mixup!
Can't believe Jojolion got translated to Italian and we only got up to part 5 💀💀
Italy has been publishing JoJo for decades now
@@samueloak1600 Italian here...
Yes, we get the entire manga, you stupid fools! BUAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Though I find it funny that our translation has Naples be turned into Neapolis, when the Italian name of the city is Napoli. Like, I don't think a city's name is protected by copyright. Although, seen how some Italian newspapers got upset when the anime released and showed Naples as a city overrun by crime (which is a stupid complaint, my Italian dad told me it is pretty accurate to real life), I can see them doing this, but the translation I read released before the anime, I think. Also btw, if you want to ask me where I live in Italy, I live in Florence. They mention it in Part 5, but they never got there.
8:21 100% Araki influenced the Bully Maguire scenes in Spider-Man 3
Part 8 yoshikage lowkey looks like bully maguire lol
The OVA is so DAMN good.
The sound design is absolutely amazing. Lucas Arts did the sound design.
As long Sam Raimi is in the thumbnail I am satisfied! Director of the original 2002 Tobey Maguire Spider-Man movie
5:28 I actually knew about this because it popped up in my youtube recommendations and I sooooo badly wanted to go on it ;w;
Evil Dead is such an awesome movie
Ive waited 4 no 5000 years for this
