Yes, it's true an attack could come from anywhere & kata movements may be interpreted in numerous ways. In my experience a clue to the type of movement (attack response) is to view the preceding & subsequent movement as well as the character of a particular move. The opening movement here is preceded by yoi (ready) & followed by uraken uchi & then hiza geri indicating continuing the counter attack to the front.

yup. Kata is your notebook. Its all in there. Some things are not on the surface can only be read through experience and analysis of the kata. The surface techniques and conditioning and some attributes are the more abvious. But after a kata is analyzed and disected into its individual parts, worked on in kumite, the parts re-arranged such as doing the kata backwards or mix and match techniqes within the kata does the kata reveal its insights and layers of information.

We have seiyunchin kata. If you go to GKCgoju channel and look at our videos you will see a seiyunchin video.
I am not familiar with "senjin", unless you mean Sanchin or Seiyunchin?

Yes, each 'Kai' organization or lineage may do the kata slightly differently.
whats up with sound effects? like someone hitting a kick or punch bag with a bokken?
One of my students is a radio sound engineer so I asked her if she could create sound effects to make the video more impressive... like a kung fu movie.

your opponent or attacker could be behind you that is why you step forward at 45 degrees to unbalance your opponent and disengage him or her if you look at the kata there are a few hyomengi techniques just thinking out side the box oh sorry your attacker has got you in a bear hug from behind
