Make A Simple Piece Of Exercise Equipment To Strengthen Lower Arms And Wrists

  • Strengthen your lower arms and wrists using this simple to make piece of exercise equipment. This is really easy to make and does a great job isolating the exercise of the lower forearm. This simple piece of equipment can strengthen both the anterior and posterior of the forearm.
    Using this type of exercise equipment was recommended by my physical therapist. Rather than buy one, I used pieces I had laying around to make it.
    You will need:
    1. A dowel, broom handle or you could even use PVC pipe. It needs to be around 19” long and 1” to 2” in diameter.
    2. Rope. I used paracord. About 40”
    3. A small carabiner
    4. A drill with a 1/4” bit
    5. A weight of some kind to attach to the bottom of the rope. Use your own judgement at to how heavy.

    When tying a knot with paracord or a similar product, to ensure that the knot doesn't come untied, I'll melt the knot a bit with my lighter to weld it together.

    can't believe i've never come across such workout equipment. im looking forward to making this sometime this week.
    one exercise i do, for strengthening my hands/wrist/forearm area, is something i call "finger curls". you get a dumbbell, hold it down by your side & simply let the weight go JUST before you feel like you're gonna drop it, then curl it back up. its also great for grip strength.
    anyways, thanks for the video & cool idea.
