Looks really good. I'm predominantly a side sleeper too and from watching Bob & Brad here on youtube I started putting a pillow between my knees when sleeping. No more stiff hips and sore knees when I wake. Highly recommend it. Keeps the hips aligned and stops friction on the knees.
Wish I had this setup Thursday as I am going to Moosehead Lake, Maine on Thursday. Looks great and I too do not like the drafts on my back as I am a side sleeper also.
@@ardiberen You’re welcome. I’ve been having fun with this setup. After testing it down to the mid 30’s in the tent I’m pleased. I did a video about the test. I added snaps to the Moondance quilt and then put snaps on a cheap $30 light weight quilt. Snap them together and I think I can stay warm down to 20 degrees. I also bought the ZENBIVY large pillow. It’s a bit expensive but absolutely awesome!
@@lifesahobby Thanks! I have not tried that. When it’s really cold, I use a Thermarest Zlite under my Xtherm. In the past I’ve used reflective bubble wrap as well. I’m guessing the foil blankets help?
Thanks for the video! It's an interesting solution. One question regarding the sheet: how's the feeling with the "half"-sheet? Doesn't it feel strange, to lay on two different materials? And does it make crumple due to movement during sleep?
@@KUJ81 I can’t really comment on the difference in feel as I’ve used it twice and both times were in cold weather. I was wearing sweat pants. It does not crumple up during sleep as the straps hold it in place. If you are concerned, just buy the full sheet. I don’t think it costs much more. Here are two other videos you may be interested in. One is testing the system down to 35 degrees which is the comfort rating of my quilt- th-cam.com/video/zaVHuvQMOkM/w-d-xo.html The second one is adding the Zenbivy pillow - th-cam.com/video/Mr1Rl4AAhnc/w-d-xo.html I just completed a forth video in the series about how to add another quilt layer to the system with snaps to get the comfort rating (Well I was warm anyway!) down to abut 20 degrees. I have found the Zenbivy method to be easily the most comfortable camping system I’ve used. The Zenbivy pillow is awesome. I should mention that I have received nothing from Zenbivy. I’m just totally impressed with their system.
@@Ray_Here Thanks for your answer, Ray. That sounds good. I'll check out the other videos. I am also amazed by the Zenbivy method. Doesn't have a quilt yet but was thinking about getting another one (smaller, lighter, not so expensive) and combine it with the Zenbivy sheet, just like you.

You are correct. Been using the pillow between the knees for years. I just use an inflatable camping pillow. Take it with me when I travel. Thanks!!

@@danielmartin2736 It would be perfect for that trip!

@ great to hear, I’ll have to check out that video.
Nice demonstration. Looks really cosy .
Have you ever tried three emergency foil blankets on the floor of your tent ?

Also, I checked out your channel. Some nice videos and some really beautiful places to hike. Keep up the good work!
