Sorry for the late reply. It was at least double, it felt like it was double. As the lead acid battery loses charge it would also lose power so it would drive slow. The lithium would stay consistent through the charge so when the battery is at 25% we would still feel like it had power to ride. But we increased the AH 50% so technically, we should have gotten just 50% more run time. Depending on if your lead acid batteries are new or if you’ve had it awhile, they may not even be able to charge to 100%. So you may see significant improvement by upgrading the batteries
Unfortunately, I did not make a video on switching the batteries. :/ I didn’t think about it until after it was done. I did not have to change any wiring harness or wires. I did have to buy new female spade terminal connections. They were either 14 gauge or 16 gauge. Can’t remember. I bought new ones because I had to cut the wires off the battery because I couldn’t remove the seal/insulator they used on the terminals. So I just cut the wires, and connected them to new spade connectors and matched the pattern to the new batteries. Since there are two batteries you need to sync together; there’s a certain pattern to do that. Just take a picture of the current pathway and match it. It’s pretty simple.
The batteries you listed from Amazon, those can be recharged by the same plug the bike came with? Or will I have to keep buying those batteries from Amazon?.
Sorry for the late reply, yes these recharge with the same charger that comes with the razor. It is a replacement battery. You will need to do basic wiring to connect the new batteries. They have spade terminals (which is same design of the stock batteries) just need to take the wires off and place them on the new ones the exact same way. If you’re unsure, find someone who understands electricity and linking batteries.
Granson is 6 already has a electric atv but battery doesn't last young. How hard is it to put the lithium batteries in it and how many hours will ir run for>
I don’t know how the ATV battery is set up. If it’s like some of the “big wheels” electric rides it will be harder to replace because those have a proprietary battery. But if it’s just a standard lead acid battery you just need to buy the same size as lithium and it’s plug and play basically.
I'm buying this for my 5yo. Did the lithium battery come with the connector to plug in the bike? Can you send a link for the battery you bought. Thank you!
So the batteries are a blade/spade connector. The connectors on the current terminals were on with hot glue or similar substance. If you can safely disconnect the old connectors you can save them and it’s just plug and play. Just match the same pairing because it’s two 12v batteries that are linked together. I ended up cutting the wires right next to the terminal on the old battery and connected a new spade terminal connector. I am not sure where your knowledge or comfort level is with electrical. In general it’s a simple switch. Here is the link to the two pack you need to replace the batteries: amzn.to/3Dg1peu
Yes. The standard charger is fine. We didn’t change the power of the batteries, just the type: lead acid vs lithium. The charger will still change from red to green when it’s fully charged.
Yes. But saying with a level of discretion. I don’t know your kids ability if he can ride a regular pedal bike then I would say yes they can ride this. My son in this video had just turned 5. The throttle on the mx350 is very gradual and doesn’t not accelerate quickly like the StaCyc electric bikes do. Those have throttles that are lot more responsive. The mx350 throttle is on or off. When it triggers on it gradually increases the speed.
The link to the batteries are in the video description. To change the batteries you need to take off the plastic on the bike to access the batteries and controller. It’s a direct fit replacement but you’ll likely need to cut the wire at the existing battery terminal because of the glue they used. I cut mine and wired them into new spade connectors. After that, just matched the wiring sequence they had on the bike. I’m sorry, but i unfortunately did not make a video on the wiring process.
Did you get that helmet from Amazon? I'd so what size, I want to get the black version for my son. Also what upgrades have you done to this, & the cost of it? I want my son to get at least 15-20 miles on it, regardless the cost
Yup, the links to the full face helmet and the battery upgrade to lithium are in the description. Just expand the description of the video. You’ll want the double battery pack. It added a lot more distance and charge time is much faster. That’s the only upgrade we’ve done so far. I’m thinking in the spring I’ll try to get a bigger front wheel or see if I can fit one of the larger razor front forks to give this some suspension. If not switching the fork, I want to get just a little bit bigger front wheel so he can get over rough terrain a little better.
Anyone have issues with the 12V 10ah battery's not working. The bike goes about 10 feet then powers off (seems like it's tripping). Tried 2 different sets of the batteries, same thing.
I wonder if you’re fuse is getting blown? This happened to me when I accidentally had the wiring done up wrong. Just fixed the wiring and replaced the fuse.
But we may be having different issues… not sure why the battery would just shut down on you. Doesn’t make a lot of sense. Feel like it could be related to more of the wiring. 🤷🏼♂️
@@marshajj3233 so a friend of mine has version 37 of the razor and I have the version 39. I had no problem upgrading to lithium battery obviously. Same voltage as stock razor just lithium battery no problem at all. My friend did the same exact battery upgrade and experienced what describes your problem to the letter. We haven’t fully fixed his problem yet BUT it looks like it might be related to the controller and the throttle for some reason. So we are going to try a few different fixes and see if that corrects it
Where do you find the version #? Looking to upgrade the batteries but don't want to hit the same issues described by version 37. Did you find a fix for your friends problem? Thank you

Glad Jack is enjoying it!
Definitely! Can’t wait to get a 650 so I can ride around with him.

Thanks for sharing this with us and for the great work you do for us and your family❤

Thank you for the info!! Does the charger that came with the bike work for the lithium batteries?
Hey bro did you change the battery yourself
Yes. I changed it out myself. Just matched the existing wiring pattern to the new one and used the same fuse.
So are you just charging this with a normal leadacid charger the bike came with?
Yes. The standard charger is fine. We didn’t change the power of the batteries, just the type: lead acid vs lithium. The charger will still change from red to green when it’s fully charged.

It’s electric, so just flipping a toggle switch is all you do to “start it”.
Plz tell its price
I shared the price in the video. But here is a link to the bike on Amazon. It’s currently on sale for $280. amzn.to/3gWsFHi

Pretty cool, looking at this for my 7 year old but worried it may be too small. Crazy they say this is for a 13 year old.
Prolly just for liability reasons
Sorry for the late reply. My son is 5 and fits perfect. A 13 year old I think would be too big for this. It’s probably because of liability 🤷🏼♂️
May want to look at the mx500 for your 7 year old.
