    Got one for my 5 year old , after trying the 125 at first , which was way too slow , luckily walmart has a good return policy and we just payed $50 more to upgrade to the 350 and he loves it , the kids built a track at the dirt lot on our street and they're out there every day , beating on these razors and they're holding up great , plus none of the neighbors get annoyed, because they're quiet.
    Highly recommend

      considering buying one today for my sons birthday when he turns 5 in june...my wife and i were discussing getting one of these and a 4 wheel option for our soon to be 5 yr old and 8 yr old. she laughed at first because they aren't even riding bicycles yet. how did your 5 year old balance on it
      ? was he already riding a bicycle on his own or did you have to use training wheels on the razor?

    • @jamesshepard4743
      @jamesshepard4743 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@darinhill6543 he was riding without training wheels for about a year before. Maybe start with the 125 and if they get used to it before the 90 days is up, you can still exchange it , to upgrade or get the four wheeler so you don’t have to worry about balancing.
      There are also balance E bike options , that are lower to the ground, I believe it’s called the razor Dash.

    I went this route with my boy. I picked one up when he was 4 yrs old and he wanted nothing to do with it. It basically sat for a year and then one day he decided he wanted to ride it and that was it he was always wanting to ride , so I finally moved him up to a ttr 50 which he is doing great on. I gave the razor to the neighbor kids, and it’s still trucking.

    Hi, got one for my 5 y/o 2 years ago. now hes 7. its built well, and is stil going strong. Just make sure you keep the battery charged and charge it per the directions. Its well worth the money. My advice....get a mtaching color helmet and gloves and your kid will be and feel like the coolest person ever. You can fit it in the back seat of a car easy ( make sure you seat belt it in incase you get into and accident) and no oil or gas dripping everywhere. I highly reccoment this product.

    I’m 15, I ride motocross, and bought one of these to toy around in since I can’t afford a pit bike. The stock bike is actually really fun, decent speed. • @jasoncapella

    I know 1,100 is kind of a lot of initial outlay but I got an automatic Honda 50cc dirt bike for my kid to learn on and a year later when he could ride to that engine's full potential, I sold that engine and got a Lifan 125cc 4speed clutch engine. It's a TON of fun now and the engine/trans is bullet proof. I personally have a few hundred miles on this build and I weigh 205 pounds. My kid is nine and barely 50 pounds. I just feel like I've gotten a ton of fun out of my ~1700 dollars. I got a taller seat and new grips in red to match and some other goodies to spruce it up.

      For the price they aren’t bad. You can spend 2-3k for a more solid bike. If your kid is committed to riding I would recommend getting a better bike. If you are unsure if your kid is really into riding this is the perfect intro bike!

    Recently got the MX400 for my son. He weighs about 45 lbs (almost 5.5yo), and was riding it around the sidewalks and a little on a sand trail yesterday for almost 2 hours (it never went dead, but it got dark out, so we went in). I'm guessing the extended run time is due to his weight and the terrain (some gentle hills so he can coast in places). He cannot reach/pull the brake easily, so I need to mod that. I'm wondering what would be a good "around the neighborhood" boot. I don't really want to buy $100+ MX boots that he will outgrow quickly. All the neighborhood kids got a ride on it the other evening. Great review!

    • @BackcountryLife

    Wrong. The batteries are swappable and you can upgrade to lithium ion. Half the weight twice the run time. It's easy too. Also you can overvolt to 36 volts or upgrade the motor for more torque and speed. Aftermarket throttle for variable speed.

I just bought one for my son and the throttle twists like 1/8th turn, its like on or off switch.. i havnt got to ride it yet, but I thought it would be like a normal throttle on a dirt bike and have more motion.. like I said, I havnt gotten to try it yet but worried about it.

      There are 2 each, 12v batteries in series for a total of 24v. I upgraded our daughters to 10 amp batteries for way longer run time than the OEM 30 minutes. I've seen her put 6+ miles and an easy hour with no dead batteries.
      The OEM motor is a 350 watt brushed unit.
